I have been to Buckhead, I've been to Midtown, I've even been to Vinings. However, every time I go to one of those places there is always a couple of things I can't stand, the distance and the price. If you're living on north side of Atlanta, up I-75 you should really stop by Marietta Square and give Hemingway's a try. On a weekend night you can find a fun up beat environment with a great cover band. Drinks are not overly priced and you get value for your money. They don't water the drinks down. Get there early grab a table, a few drinks, and rock the night away with your friends.

This is a really wonderful restaurant. My initial interest was the clever name and convenient, however off the beaten path, location. After my first bite of sashimi I knew I had found a jewel. With a softly lit, comfortable ambiance and quick, pleasant service this restaurant is sure to please. I especially suggest the Sushi and Sashimi Boat Dinner for Two as it is a great deal and allows you to enjoy a wide variety of foods. My favorite waitress, May, is almost always there and simply one of my very favorite waitresses in the city. Even on evenings that I am not particularly in the mood for sushi I'll come in to see her. She has memorized my tastes and always has my drink in hand when she realizes I'm at her table. She even remembers most of my friend's preferences. All around this is a grand restaurant and you have every reason to go check it out.
Pros: Best sushi I've had in town
Cons: Location

We go to the Chamblee restaurant on Peachtee Rd. We are there weekly. Great Western NY food, great staff and nice place. My favorite is the Beef on Weck sandwich. Pizza and wings are great!

I had two televisions knocked out due to lightning and the people at Atlanta TV & Video Repair were very knowledgable and could tell me approximate prices for repair over the phone. They helped me unload my big 32"tv and the only wait time was for parts to ship. The only downside is that there is a fee of 25-50 dollars just for them to look at the tv and give an actual estimate.

I'm seriously mad at the lack of good Japanese restaurants in the area. The only one I can depend on is Umezono. Hashiguchi is just another try at a decent Japanese restaurant, which is exactly what it is. It's nothing really spectacular, but I guess people will still go. I just hope that we get some more good Japanese restaurants, because I'm tired of always being disappointed.

I found this salon online and was surprised because I always thought that the Aveda place at The Avenues at West Cobb was just a store. They have a whole salon and spa behind it. I knew Aveda had a good reputation so I called and made an appointment. It took a few days to get in but that didn't bother me. My worst haircuts were from people who were available when I walked in someplace without an appointment. I saw Kelly and for the first time in years, I feel like my mane has been tamed. The best part is I can do it myself. She was as much a coach as a hair stylist. I looked around a lot and they seem like a happy group of people. I only saw pretty hair-nothing crazy or 'out of the box' on the staff or their clients. I'm so happy, I want to tell everyone I know! Oh, and it smells so good in there--almost delicious!
Pros: While I was waiting, I had a great hand massage. The hot towels are nice too!
Cons: Seems a bit crowded in the salon. They were really busy but I never felt rushed.

I have lived all over the country and have had some of the best ethnic food there is to be had in the states. I must admit this place is in the top 10 for Asian dishes and probably second best in the country for Chinese food. The flavors are layered and harmonized in a way that caresses the palate with both bold and subtle flavors! Watch out for the dishes listed as "spicy" though, as they are inded quite hot. I suggest you order it half as hot as normally prepared on your first visit so you aren't shocked by the heat.

I'm a bit of a sushi fanatic and I work for a travel agency and have been all over the country. I make it a point to sample as many of the sushi restaraunts as I can wherever I am. And one of the absolute gems is Shiro / Great Wall.
I have to be honest when I heard they offered both Chinese and Japanese cuisine I was cautious at first. Possibly the only other time that has been done well in the Atlanta area was many years ago when the Golden Buddah on Roswell Rd. first opened and was under the original management. And under head sushi chef Sato. But that location has not been the same for many years now.
But despite my caution, I found Shiro / Great Wall to be a fantastic choice for both sushi, and Chinese cuisine.
The fish is always extremely fresh, the atmosphere is actually quite nice. The restaurant has very high ceilings and they have an interesting waterwall behind the sushi chefs. When you walk in its hard to believe this restaurant is hidden there in this strip mall.
The sushi is fantastic, the sushi chefs are impeccable particularly the gentleman with the pony tail. I genuinely wish I could remember his name. They have the most fantastic spicy tuna roll imaginable and while I loved the catapillar roll and red dragon roll, you really cannot go wrong with any of the rolls or nigiri in this wonderful restaurant.
Finally, while I am not a huge fan of Chinese food the General Tso's Chicken and the Orange Chicken here are first rate as are their egg rolls.
I know if you try Shiro / Great Wall you will become a fan too.
Pros: Best Sushi in Atlanta / Great Place for Lunch
Cons: Occasionally the wait staff can be slightly less than attentive when its time to get your check.

Good food, cold beer, stiff drinks, reasonable prices, biker friendly, good company. It's not for everybody, but most things in life aren't 1 size fits all. You might not agree with some of Mike’s outspoken ideas; and if not, he doesn’t seem to mind. I recently heard him say to someone trying to start some "Obama" trouble, after asking him twice to change the subject, “Look, people don’t come here to talk politics. They come to drink beer and talk about women.” That pretty much sums up this little diamond in the rough. I won’t be offended if you stay home and watch the Black Miss America Pageant, Black Entertainment Television, or Black History Month on Bio. But until we have a White Miss America Pageant, White Entertainment Television, or White History Month, I hope you won’t be offended if some of us just want to hang out on the patio at Mulligan’s, eat a little good food, drink a cold beer, and sit around shooting the breeze with some good folks.
Pros: Many
Cons: Smoky inside
