We've been customers of Jeweler on the Square --Gerald and Ginger and the team -- for several months now. They have an absolutely incredible selection of jewelry with almost any gemstone you can imagine - more than I've ever seen in one location - and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. The jewelry is excellent quality at amazing prices. We went to a "Gem Club" open house last week and had a great time learning about all the different gems. They had a drawing and we actually WON A $550 RUBY - we were thrilled and can't wait to have Gerald design a beautiful piece of jewelry with it! We can't say enough good things about Gerald, Ginger, Avi, Stan - the whole team is so helpful and really knows their stuff. They also have vintage jewelry pieces, antique clocks and an array of antique and rare collectibles - a very FUN store! They're also often open late on Friday and Sat evenings so stop in sometime!

I went into the store with friends last spring. Just accompanying them, met Gerald and started looking around. Standing at the counter I discovered loose stones which I admired and then asked if he had more. Well, he did and I selected a large stone for a pendant and a smaller one for a ring. He was going to make them up for me and I asked if he could incorporate some other pieces I had into the designs.
No problem for Gerald! He made me a drop dead gorgeous pendant and a fabulous ring. I am proud to wear those pieces and everyone wants to know where they came from. Well, of course, I am happy to tell them that Gerald the Jeweler on the Square made them for me! He is a great guy and very fair in his pricing too and will make every attempt to help you.
Pros: Has Great selection, loose stones and can make what you want

My wedding ring was broken so I was on the look out for a jeweler with quality workmanship and a reasonable price. While I was shopping on the Marietta Square, I mentioned that I needed my ring repaired. I was immediately referred to "Jeweler on the Square". As I entered the shop I was greeted warmly and I received prompt service. As they took the ~15 minutes for the repair, I enjoyed the conversation and looked through the interesting inventory. The "Jeweler on the Square" is now on my list of preferred shops. I will be recommend ing their services to friends and will return for jewelry repairs and when I am in need of a "one of a kind" gift.
Pros: Friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere

I recently had a baby and was very disappointed that my ring no longer fit. The jeweler I normally used has gone out of business and when calling around to get my ring resized, I was shocked by the prices.
Jeweler on the square was the first and only reasonable quote that I received and they completed the work in 24 hours. It was great to have the peace of mind and security that it was being worked on in house. The ring looks good and I plan to use this jeweler in the future.

I had gone into this jewelers to get an appraisal for a stone I had purchased. I was blown away by the selection of jewelry and couldn't leave the store for a couple hours! This is not your cookie cutter jewelry store. The pieces were breath taking. Not only did I get an appraisal but found a new jeweler!! They even set & design pieces. Its truly a ONE STOP place. They even fix jewelry. In the time I was there I also found out they work on watch's. I looked everywhere for someone to work on my swiss watch and now its the only place I trust to bring everything. Customer service was outstanding! Gerald went out of his way to inform every person about there pieces and even took the time to work and explain it to a small child that was purchasing a stone for a ring. He made sure he sized it and treated her as though she was a millionaire. I have to say that in a world that customer service has just gone out the door....Jeweler On the Square made me smile as I walked away. It just affirmed that there are still great people and great jewelers out there not waiting to rip you off. It went a long ways to see that a customer is a real person and we want to be treated special no matter who you are and how old you may be. This is a customer for life!! Congratulations and thank you!!! You made me believe in true customer service again!!!
Pros: Customer Service One of a Kind Jewelry, One Stop does it all
Cons: NONE!!!!

My fiance recently moved out West for a job. We were not engaged at the time, but had talked about getting engaged for several months. I have several pieces of jewelry from Gerald's shop on the Square that I absolutely adore.
Knowing this, my fiance contacted Gerald to inquire about engagement rings. After explaining our long-distance situation to Gerald, he and his team arranged a date for me to come in and look at engagement rings.
The day I came into the store, Ginger spent hours patiently helping me as I picked out the perfect ring. There were several rings that I favored. Gerald's team took high-quality pictures of the rings that I had picked out and emailed them to my fiance. The email not only contained the high-quality pictures of the rings, but also the specific details of each ring including cut, clairity, carat, and cost.
My favorite setting actually had a green diamond in it, and Gerald and his team showed me a diamond of great quality and added it to the email too.
After reviewing the options, my finace called Gerald to arrange the purchase of the ring. Gerald replaced the green diamond with the diamond we had chosen and shipped it to my fiance out West.
I went to visit my fiance in August. While I was out there, he proposed with the very ring I had fallen in love with at the store! I was so excited!
Gerald and his team were extremely accommodating to our unique situation. When I returned to Marietta, I needed to get my ring sized down 1/2 a size. I came in one Saturday morning and Gerald sized it while I waited so I didn't have to leave my beautiful engagement ring.
I cannot express how helpful Gerald and his team were during this special time in our lives. They were a pleasure to work with, as usual, and we will be returning to them for future jewelry needs.
Thanks Gerald for all of your help!

My husband, Ralph, met Gerald through business at Gerald's vacation home in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. They hitit off right away and became friends. Gerald found out that my birthday was in July and Ralph and I were also going to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in July. Ralph and Gerald devised this most elaborate and wonderful surprise for me!
The evening of our anniversary, (July 7) Ralph took me out to dinner to celebrate. We went to try a little Italian restaurant in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. When we got there a couple I had never seen before walked up to us and introduced themselves to me. That was when I met Gerald, and his lovely fianc?, Ginger, from Marietta, Georgia. I can't even explain how confused I was but I was happy to meet my husband's new friends.
We went into the restaurant (which was awful but that's a different story) and sat down. After getting our menus and ordering, Gerald told me he had heard that my birthday was coming up and that I had always loved rubies since that is my birthstone and had secretly longed for one all my life. As he was telling me this about myself he pulled out a case from a Fed Ex box and put it on the table. Then, he told me he was a jeweler and he and Ginger had driven 850 miles from Georgia to Pennsylvania to show me his work!
I looked down and there in front of me was a glass jewelry case filled with all these gorgeous rubies and diamonds! I could hardly make out what I was looking at because they just sparkled and shone so brilliantly! It was like being presented with a treasure chest! I was so stunned. I kept looking around waiting for the candid camera guy to appear! I couldn't speak or hardly even breath and then Ralph told me he had waited 30 years to give me a ruby ring and he would like me to pick one.
For hours Gerald and Ginger patiently sat with us and explained the quality of each ring and how Gerald had designed and crafted it as I tried them all on over and over again! The ring I chose is a pear shaped ruby (from Thailand) in a gold setting with canary yellow diamonds (from India) on each side. I have never seen such a beautiful piece of jewelry or even dreamt of owning such a thing!
I want to thank Gerald and Ginger for making this the most exciting and special birthday/anniversary ever. And what can I say about my husband, Ralph that he didn't just take me to a jewelry store to buy a ring, but arranged for Gerald the Jeweler to present me with a unique, one of a kind, ruby and diamond ring that he crafted himself! Not only that, but Gerald noticed me admiring a lovely, elegant, ruby pendant necklace that was tucked away in the jewelry case, so he insisted that I have it also!
Ralph and I wish Gerald and Ginger will be blessed with as much love, luck and happiness in their lives as a married couple as we have had.
PS: Gerald - Superman said don't forget to stop by our house next time you and Ginger make it back to the Pocono?s for a grilled steak dinner to make up for that terrible salad we had in Honesdale!
Pros: Jewelry selection, customer service, jewelry repair
Cons: nothing

I have personally known Gerald for 10-12 years and know him to be extremely trustworthy. His pieces are unique, one of a kind and usually custom made by him. His talents are extraordinary. When I require "only the best" in antique or custom made rings, I ONLY purchase from Gerald. He is and always will be "my personal jeweler". He is my "Merlin" of the jewelry world! I recommend him very highly. I own many of his pieces and treasure them dearly.
