Great ambiance, interesting decor including the wall sculptures (You've got to see it to know what I mean. They used wood to create art on the wall. I was very creative and pretty). Anyway, the food was really amazing. We ordered several things and shared so we could taste many dishes. My favorite was the noodle with spicy peanut sauce. Out of this world. It was casual for day, but I could see going there at night in dress clothes and feeling just fine. It's a great local hangout.

Thank you, La Famiglia! What an amazing restaurant! The food was and always is delicious. I can't stop eatting there! The veal lemone and shrimp is my all time favorite, but the buttons and bows are incredible too! YUM! I was at the restaurant when the lady with the bad review below was there. She didn't like pasta and felt like a veggie subsitute should be free ( In my opinion, if you don't like pasta, don't go to an italian restaurant! ).She was taken care of and got her veggie, but she also didn't want any butter on her food and when the waitress suggested an olive oil substitute, she didn't want that either. She was nonstop complaining which made the atmosphere entirely uncomfortable. Every restaurant has its pros and cons. The food is definitely not one of the cons. There might be a wait to get your food, but it is very worth it when the meal is cooked to your order and not prepared before hand, and once you find out that it is the owner/chef is alone in the kitchen on a friday or saturday night... its to be expected! She complained about the owner being rude. I think the owner's sense of humor is dry yet witty. New York all the way! If you complain, she will stick up for her restaurant & she should. But if you want to just chitchat with her about the Yankees or the weather on the square, she is always up for a good conversation. Trust me, she will talk your ear off and you feel like you have a new best friend! Its a great place, I've been a customer there for about 5 years (even back when it hadn't expanded) and if someone doesn't think its not good italian food, then perhaps they are better off just staying at home! Try the baked clams, they are to die for! Try any of the fish dishes if they are on special, they are also amazing! And the marinara sauce is unlike no other! Again, super yummie! I suggest this to all my friends! Its the best!!!!
Pros: Food, atmosphere, music, service, personable
Cons: Parking, wait on food

Broke my diet just to taste a good pizza, instead of heading back in town to my favorite place, I had heard about this place one day, skimming the AJC. I usually don't believe the AJC, but the reviewer had details that I look for in a good resturant, mainly being skeptical helps and then to be amazed. This is one of the smallest pizza places around, if you are planning a party, bring the bus with you(and park it across the street). On my visit there was a family of 8 which took up half the place, but my order was to go anyway and now that I have a menu I can call ahead for takeout. I eyeballed the pizza at the car and it looked great, but I made sure to place it in the car as far away as possible, so I wouldn't have to go right back to get another one for the family to eat. This place is a little hard to fine, small sign on the Center's Sign on Sandy Plains and the strip center sits vertical, so the marquee is almost unreadable unless you are on top of it(I missed it the 1st attempt).
While there I spied a meatball sandwich and calazone being consumed, it was I could do not to ask for a bite, large and very meaty and very cheesy.
I'm glad I waited to get home and the last to sample the fare, the whole family was yums and ahs and oh mys. I done good in everyone's eyes, but mainly to my own taste buds and stomach.
If you eat for the taste, this is the place for a NY style pizza. If you are looking for a place with table cloths and waitstaff in long aprons and an extra $50 without drinks, this is not for you. I myself go for the food. Besides the people who were working and the people eating inside seem to really know each other, kinda of like one big family getting together for a meal. The owners were the host, the customers were their guests.
Pros: The food, the people.
Cons: none for me, but most people go out to sit down and eat,so maybe knock out a wall and grow a dining area.

Its been 8 years since I first heard of Life Grocery in Marietta, GA. I had a sinus infection that would not go away. I knew it was caused by the bad foods I was eating (dairy, too much wheat, refined sugar, processed meats, etc).
I also needed a good colon cleanse (which I purchased there). The colon cleanse worked like a charm. When you are in the Supplement Department, ask about how to rid you body from harmful parasites. It's a good practice. I use, on occasion, Oil of Oreganol. But you will have to test the products out for yourself...because everyone's body operates a little differently.
Anyway, 8 years later, my health has improved tremendously because I am more concious of how, when, and what I eat...well, most of the time.
I have been referred to the best Chiropractors who also specialize in diet and nutrition; I've been referred to the best Naturopath doctors and Metal Free Dentist, etc. - all by Life Grocery staff. Believe me, they have changed my life - including the way I think. It's amazing how much my mind / thinking has improved and become even more positive since I have taken a more natural approach.
Now, I haven't completely changed the way I eat - I am just more careful about what I eat. Example: I don't do the processed foods anymore. I also supplement my diet with natural (without the harmful additives) vitamins. (Note that the key word is natural). I do my best to stay away from refined sugars. I am still working on not eating refined flours, but I am getting there.
After not eating refined sugar and cleaning my body internally using supplementation of vitamins and getting nutrients from fresh fruit and veges, I don't even crave the sugars anymore. I believe and have been taught that if you get rid of the bad bacteria in your guy and changing to a non sweets diet, you can reduce your craving for sugar. Sugar = Bad Carbs = Weight Gain = Getting ill.
As I said, you can learn a lot at Life Grocery. You just have to get involved in its community. After listening to other members in the Life Grocery community (even its employees), and attending some of its educational functions, it becomes a lifestyle...a lifestyle of learning and feeling good about you and the people around you.
Pros: Educational, Friendly
Cons: Only One Location

This bakery makes the best pastries I have had, and I have been to bakeries all over the U.S. The chocolate tarte, and the fruit tarte are my personal favorites. But, eveything from the brioche to the chocolate logs are exquisite. The owners are also very nice, as are the rest of the staff. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fantastic, authentic french pastry.
Pros: Parking, Staff, Food
Cons: None

Sapporo is one of those habachi/steak house style places that I don't consider Japanese really. Not to mention that it's run by Koreans, at least at the time I went. That's not a bad thing tho, because have you ever been to Korean BBQ? It's really good. Koreans are really good w/ meats which is why Sapporo is pretty good. It's not too cheap, but you're paying for the entertainment from the knife masters/chefs they have there. I still hate how they waste onions w/ their stupid but fun onion volcano.

I have been to Frankies many times and have always had great food and excellent service. The rolls are more addictive than crack and their lasagna is awesome! My wife used to go there just for their Terramazu (did I spell that right?) The restaurant feels like a family run place and not some everyday food chain. If you like Italian food than you are gonna love this place.
