Lake Wilderness Park is a family favorite year round in Maple Valley. Amenities include an extensive child’s play area, ball field, tennis courts, 3 picnic shelters, swimming (with lifeguard in the summer), walking trail, and boat launch. The park is always clean and well maintained. Parking is ample and well-lit.
Lake Wilderness Park is conveniently located next to the Arboretum and Lake Wilderness Lodge. You can catch the Cedar River trail here to do some serious walking.
Check out the great annual events like Maple Valley Days, Kids Day, and Family Fourth of July.

Great beginners golf course that everyone can enjoy. Perfect for a short day on the course if you don't have a lot of time to spend. The course is very well maintained and well marked. Try the driving range as well very a great experience. Don't miss playing this course if you enjoy the game of golf.

My son is enjoying Kinder Swimmer. Beware, it is not cheap ($15 per each half hour lesson). What is good about it is there is a class of five students or fewer and the kids get in the water right away, trying front and back strokes, attempting diving (even the little ones), sliding down a slide into the water. They really get the "full immersion" of swimming in a safe way (students wear floats as they learn to swim). The indoor, heated pool is located at a private residence and parking can by tricky.

This is a good gym in a town that doesn't have one, but their prices are okay, their equipment is good, they don't offer classes and they have a kids room. I think that once competition comes along, they will need to make some improvements, like offering classes. The kids room is ALWAYS packed, so I don't take my kids there. Friendly people, lots of regulars.
