the carousel is a great place for kids of all ages . i still enjoy going to the carousel . my favorite has always been the dancing cats. the animals are all kept up on, and were all carved right here in Mansfield this one of the few treasure in Mansfield and must if you have children. i can't wait to take my niece this year.

I've gone here as since they first opened and it's just as beautiful as it was then. They maintain the ride and all the animals well. The one thing I don't like is the music, it's soooo loud. But the kids absolutely love it. The gift shop is also very nice. The items aren't overpriced at all and they have a good variety. I would recommend this place to anyone with young children or to anyone who can appreciate the artwork of the animals.

When the businesses moved, and downtown Mansfield lost much of its business, the Town Fathers and Mothers decided Mansfield needed to be renovated, that the downtown area needed to be restored and businesses needed to be coaxed back into Mansfield. As the restoration started, and the turn of the century buildings began to get face lifts, the Town Fathers and Mothers decided they needed a symbol for this restoration and they looked to a Carrousel to stand as a symbol of their hard work and efforts. The Carrousel was opened in 1991. The Carrousel attracts a lot of attention and many folks have their kids birthday parties there. Many local organizations offer discounts or special kids days at the Carrousel. There is plenty of parking and it is a delightful afternoon for the family.
