We always go to Strange Brew during Monarchs Hockey season before and after games. It amazes me at the efficiency of the waitresses. There are people elbow to elbow enjoying the music or the game on one of the many TVs, but yet they seem to remember everyones order (we are usually in a group of 8 or 10) without ever writing anything down, and never shall a glass run empty. Since the smoking ban I don't have a complaint in the world to give about this place. Great beers (and weekly $2 draft specials - even Guinness), great appetizers and freshly popped popcorn. What more could you ask for?

GREAT FOOD, spunky staff, amazing prices, whether you go at 2 am or 9 am or anywhere in between you are going to find all types there, be prepared to wait sometimes in line, but the staff moves things along quickly, and DONT be surprised to see a celeb or too in there on any given day... If you are in the area you have to check it out

I don't want to say who i am but i know the whole thing more than others as well as the guy who wrote this comment. At first, you want something thing to drink but people can't offer you drinks without your ID in your pocket. You seem to be angry first. Second, Waiter should serve you guys well except explaining everything on the list as you required. That night the restaurant should closed at 10 pm. It's true that a lot of people came in late but they ordered the food before 10. You guys ordered at 10:20 and why you can ask the question" why others can get food except us?". How do you feel this question? All people here are fair whatever new or old. For the Sushi, i can't say everyone likes Sushi here because it depends on people's taste. But what i want to say is that waiter already told you there is Wasabi sauce on it and i heard your Girlfriend said " you will like it" when she saw the roll. If you don't mind you can double check with her. English is your language not ours. Don't laugh at people on this issue. If you try to learn another language maybe you will be worse than the owner. Thinking about yourself first then you have the right to discuss others. Thank you for loving Chinese food.

I'm a pretty average guy, not much into the bar-hopping, or clubbing scene, but I stumbled upon a real gem when I happened into the Black Brimmer for the first time. My wife and I were out on our weekly Tuesday night date. We had missed the movie we wanted to see, and were just cruising and trying to find something else to do. (On a Tuesday night... yeah right!) We had pretty much given up and were headed home when we rode by the Black Brimmer... Live music on a Tuesday night??? Why not. We stopped in. The place was comfortably crowded, had beautiful antique victorian style decor, dance floor, sports on t.v. friendly atmosphere. The Band was good, but the lead singer.... No wonder they were playing on a Tuesday... We went in and sat at a table in the back, The waitress was quick and pleasant. After the first song ended the "problem" with the lead singer was explained...
An M.C. got on the stage and invited the next Karaoke participant onto the stage... This was the first time I had ever seen a Live Band play for karaoke. The band is REALLY tallented, and the singers... there is some talent there, but everyone has a good time, and everyone is positive and encouraging. We hung out for a while, even got brave enough to get up and make some noise. We have been back several times, Tuesday night is our favorite, (if you show up we'll sing for you... or you can sing for us!) But the place is really happening later in the week, The music is always good, and the atmosphere is friendly if your 21, or 71. If you do decide to check it out, make sure you get to all 3 levels, and try their Beef Nacho's (Biggest, Best Nacho's I've ever had, and under 10 bucks) but bring friends, there's enough to feed about 4 people. Oh yeah, early in the evening the Black Brimmer is a FANTASTIC family resteraunt, My kids have chosen it over fast food!
Check it out...Great music, Great food, Great atmosphere, can't go wrong.
Pros: Friendly atmosphere
Cons: limited parking early in the day, but after 5 there is usually plenty.

From the moment you walk into Aloha Restaurant, you are treated like royalty, especially if you have the fortune of being greeted and seated by Billy the owner. From placing your napkin on your lap to the free chicken wing apetizers, Aloha is an experience you will want to repeat again and again. The food is top notch, and the wait staff is kind and courteous, and the prices are average. It's a great place to take the family.

The safest place to be in Manchester is Souvlakis. That's because on any given night you'll see at least two or three police cruisers parked there picking up their dinner. If the cops are regulars, you KNOW this place is good. This place has THE BEST steak tips and gyro anywhere in Manchester. A good deal too because with any dinner you also get a house salad and a side of either fries or rice. Definately the best sub and pizza place in town, BAR NONE!

I finally got to try out Ollie's and loved it. The other reviewer is right about their chicken tenders. They are really good!! The service was great and the menu is huge. I'm going to go back again and again. Great prices too!
