This place is located right across from Lakeside Lanes on Candia Road. It is convenient if you want to make a night out of bowling then grabbing some slices. The place itself is fairly small so it's more of a take out place than an eatery but it suffises. They have a menu that's fairly standard fried takeout food but their pizza is really the best item on the menu. Prices are inexpensive, staff is for the most part friendly. Plenty of parking.

The reception area is also very nice, and affordable. There is a completely separate entrance!! The room is large enough for a good amount of people!

It's not perfect, but this place does have it all... Nice deck outside, lots of great music, and a friendly staff. I could do without the $5 cover (who's the chump that SUED the place for their former "ladies no cover" policy?)... Go early, because there's sometimes a line.
It's the old standby. The crowd is a bit young, so be prepared for that. It had a kickin New Year's Eve party last year, but it was NOT a good place for St. Patrick's... no green beer! No hats, none of the "kitch" that I was looking for.
In other words, this place is recommended, but don't overdo it... you'll get sick of it fast if you visit too much!
Pros: Staff... the owner is there in the evening and he's generally friendly
Cons: Um... the fact that we go TOO much!? :)

The Uptown used to be just about the only place to go in Manchester for original live music. Now it is gone and we are left with bars that only feature cover bands. Hopefully there will be a place to replace what was lost with the Uptown Tavern.
