There are a few amazing things about the Manchester Animal Shelter. First off, it is a no-kill shelter, so there's no pressure to adopt an animal. You know every animal will get a home eventually! Second, it is not run by the city, but by an independent non-profit group (which is the only reason why it is a no-kill). The group absolutely depends on cash donations and volunteers to keep the place running, so please keep that in mind if you're an animal lover looking for a worthy cause to support.

I got my wife a kitten here, and the whole process was great. Our kitten happened to be a little under the weather, so their in-house vet made sure she was well enough before they released her to us. The paperwork was easy and I was able to visit the kitten a few times before bringing her home. We also loved that the spaying was included in the price because we knew we wanted to do that procedure anyway. I'll also say that I won husband-of-the-year with that gift, too.

The people who work here are amazing! We adopted our kitten from the Manchester Animal Shelter and have nothing but good things to say about that place! There are always a large amount of adult cats there, and I wanted to take all of them home! They have a 'in-house' vet who checks out all of the animals before adoption, which is great! I would definitely suggest going to this shelter if you are thinking about adopting a pet!
