What a great find!
Delicious raw items, and some great hard to find shelf items.
My only complaint is the decor is lacking- it needs more warmth-wood, plants and a little color wouldn't hurt.
Don't let the plain store front fool you.

I've been to most of the Indian restaurants in the Philadelphia area, but this is my favorite. They have great appetizers like Onion Bhaji and Samosa, and I especially enjoy their Bengan Bhartha (eggplant) and Alo Choli. The white basmati rice is especially fresh and tasty. Beware however - the portions are HUGE; if you load up on appetizers and Naan bread, you'll never get through the main course!
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Nice ambience
Cons: Huge portions

This Asian restaurant has wonderful and healthy food. They specialize in vegan mock meats that are so good that many of our meat-eating friends say they can hardly tell the difference. It's a very casual setting and while you can order off the menu, their lunch and dinner buffets are the real fun! You can try a little bit of everything, both hot and cold. In addition to the hot dishes, salads and appetizers there are also soups on the buffet. Favorites are General Tzo's Chicken, Lemon Chicken, Beef and Veggies and lots more. It's a great place to take your meat eating friends - vegetarians will be able to have everything on the menu and it will expose your friends to delicious vegan cooking. The buffet is reasonable and well worth the money - the real trick is to have some self-control and not overeat!! Highly recommended!!

We love Cedar Hollow Inn for lunch. Their French Onion Soup is very flavorful with a hearty helping of cheese on top. It's a little on the salty side, but very tasty. Their salads are excellent, especially the Cobb Salad. I've never dined there at night, but would recommend their lunches. Service was very good.

Went last week for the first time, the place is pretty big upstairs. The bartenders were quick with the drinks and the specials were great. The band (Lost in Paris) and the DJ (J Red) absolutely threw it down! They moved through everything---Talking Heads--Hip-Hop---80's crazy, crazy combo. Great nite!

Although I have never stayed at the Desmond, I have attended several work conferences, classes, going away lunches and have been here for their deck events. The food and the service in all cases was good. I have yet to try their Sunday Brunch. I would like to some time based on the lunches and dinners I have had here. Check the summer deck events - that's a favorite ladies' night out.
My husband and I decided to go to the full service restaurant, The Hunt Room, recently. We were blown away by the wonderful meal from start to finish, expertly served. I chose from the Prix Fixe menu- before 6:30 PM, its $25 - $28 after 6:30 PM, its $29 - $32, for a choice of appetizer, entr??e and dessert. I had Manhattan clam chowder, Petit Filet Mignon au Poivre, and Key Lime Parfait. All were wonderful ??? the three small filets were done to my request of medium rare. The portion was too much so I gave one to my husband. My husband ordered off the regular menu. He started with a stilton b

We attended a wedding/reception that was held at this 18th Century inne and restaurant. It is a great seclude place just off of Old Lincoln Hwy. The staff there was very polite and was quickly able to accommodate the 100+ people in attendance. Some of the spaces are smaller than you would normally expect, but it lends itself well to being a warm and inviting place for special occasions.
We had a 3 course dinner there and the food was great tasting and was creatively plated. They are known for their continental cuisine and their snapper soup. This is definitely a place to go for a special night out or an important business lunch.

I discovered Anthony's in 1993. I've been there more times than I can count, and it was a family tradition to have dinner there at least bi-weekly. The Italian cuisine is to die for. Awesome cheese steaks, pizza, etc. But dive into a plate of Chicken Alfredo or Pasta Prima Vera. Mmmm. Anthony's is the best Italian on the western Main Line.
Pros: Food, Location, Atmosphere
Cons: Parking, None
