I ordered a chocolate traditional birthday cake for my son's birthday. It was horrible and didn't even look right. Instead of the frosting being smooth, there were air bubbles in the frosting and no one even finished their piece of cake. The Italian cookies are good, but I think they are $7 a pound now, and I cannot justify spending that much. My mother got a yellow cake for my sister-in-law's birthday, and it was bad too. Maninnos in sterling heights has great cakes. The meat is now Randazzo's; they used to lease the space to Prime Time meats and people complained about Prime Time's prices. Well at least PrimeTime had good meat, Randazzo's meat is not good, it's very tough regardless of the cut. There pork chops are horrible and the organic chicken too rich for my blood. For the price and they refuse to carry Kowalski kielbasa, they have Wrobleski's and it's pure fat and no flavor. Pot roast is flavorless. Manhattan Marketplace has great meat, but bad produce. The good news is that the Italian bread is great from the bakery and the produce is great quality and while not inexpensive, you do get what you pay for. The deli is good, but their salad/olive bar is very expensive. If they lowered the price per pound, i would buy the cukecumber vinagrette salad. Veggies are great and fresh. Cashier's are young girls and not necessarily the most professional or friendly. Mr. Randazzo never smiles, he's there sometimes and you would think with all the $$$ he is making he could crack a smile, but he never does.

I went to Randazzo Fresh Market for the first time to do my Thanksgiving shopping. I was so pleased with everything I purchased. My family loved the meal I prepared. The turkey was tender, juicy and delicious. I also made their Italian sausage, and my husband will not allow me to get sausage anywhere else. The produce and bakery is top notch. We had a fabulous tiramisu. I was even able to purchase and send a fruit basket to my grandmother in Florida to wish her a happy Thanksgiving. She was so happy since we couldn't be together for the holiday. I give Randazzo 2 thumbs up!!

I went to Randazzo Fresh Market for the first time to do my Thanksgiving shopping. I was so pleased with everything I purchased. My family loved the meal I prepared. Randazzos has the ultimate in fresh veggies and fruit. This is the newer location, a spin off from the Gratiot and 11 Mile Road original. I've always been super pleased with Randazzo's and enjoyed making a regular weekend visit. They also have tons of pasta shapes to choose from, I like this because I make a lot of soup and just for a change...I will change the shapes. For Italian Wedding Soup use the ziti; try the rotini in your chicken soup ext. I have to make it fun or else I won't do it (LOL)!

Randazzos has by far the best cannolis ever. Their produce section is outstanding and very reasonably priced for the quality. My husband and I are disappointed in the meat selectin. It looks like descent meat, hoever, it is very much over priced. We can get the same quality meat at Kroger down the road for half the price.
