Never again 6/11/2012

I needed 3 floor lamps and about 4 ceiling lights so I went into the store on 6/11/12 saw 2 sales people. After 15min of standing there flagged on down and she said "we're busy right now" and walked off. Other one would not even look at me. Went to the counter and 3 of them standing there with 1 customer. After 5 min of that I wanted and they just looked at me. Total time was over 30min in the store. Service was non-existent and employees was totally rude and unprofessional. This is the 3rd time I been to the store and and got no help at all. They should not be in business at all. more

Lynnwood store manager 4/27/2011

I went to shop for a ceiling fan about two weeks ago on a Saturday, around noon. Had a lot of ideas but still needed help with what to pick. I found help right away from one of the sales people ( male) but everytime I wanted to ask a question this lady, that was actually the store manager,( on her name tag I could read Shari Bradley) kept interrupting the sales person ...asking all sorts of questions....for instance...did someone go to lunch? Where is so and so? Did you hear about ? She ignored me totally and kept interrupting. I felt very left aside and disrepected and I chose to take my business somewhere else. more

Disappointed 3/8/2008

I went to the Lynwood location looking for several lamps for my new home. A desk lamp they had on their showroom floor was just what I was looking for. It was out of stock and had to be ordered. That was January 11, 2008. It is now March 8, 2008 and still no lamp. I called the store several times and got the run around each time. It was supposed to be ordered from the shipper, then it was supposed to be send from another store location. None of which happened. Still waiting and still getting the run around. I got and continue to get no communication from the store regarding my order. This last time I was told again they had to check with their shipper and couldn't give me an answer until Monday. If my lamp is not in by then I will have to go back to the store and get my money back, I am tired of waiting and getting the run around. Too bad because it is a nice store with a big selection. I hope I do eventually get my lamp, Once I do (if I ever do) I will not shop there again. and I would not recommend this business to others, the cusotmer service really sucks. more

Best if you're prepared 10/29/2006

Lamps Plus! has both retail and catalog/internet stores. The same sales and prices usually apply, which means you can find something you want online or in the catalog and nip on down to the store to buy it. Or vice-versa if it's not in stock or you just want to see it. They have some big names - Minka, Lightolier, Lutron, Philips, etc. But they also have names that SOUND big and aren't. Often these are "captive" brands - which means made by contract firms in asia (mostly China) for them. Lots of places do this - Home Depot does the same thing with Hampton Bay and quite a few other names, Sears has Craftsman/Toughskin/etc. But the quality of the Home Depot captive brands, or of Craftsman, tends to be a bit higher than the quality of Lamps Plus brands. The Lamps Plus! brands don't have the brandname on the box, on the lamps or even on the single-sheet instructions. This isn't a problem. Lighting isn't that complex and if you get it on sale, it will be a GREAT price. Just be gentle and use LocTite anywhere you can. We had a chandelier fixture work itself loose after a year and fall down at one point! On the bright side, their stuff looks real nice, works great and is lightweight enough not to stress old boxes. We've been happier with the salespeople at Lynnwood than in Bellevue. more
