Aalon salon is a womans day in paradise! They offer hair care, massages, tanning, facials and body wraps. I have gone there for hilites for a while now and am always VERY pleased with the outcome. I like that they take walk-ins so I can go whenever I need to! Not to mention I can go get a massage and a haircut in the same place!

Jon Randles is one of the best speakers I've heard in my life. He is moving and you can tell he is truly a man of God. He is not afraid to tell you how he feels nor tell you what the Bible says. We need more people like this in our world.

WOW.. what a small world! I graduated from there in 2004. I finished my whole senior year in 2 months. I wanted to finish up high school because I hated it .. I was always an outcast and I wanted to come out to California where my boyfriend lived..
Anyway.. After doing a few weeks of researching different places - I decided on Texas Tech and I highly reccomend it. They had the courses to meet all the requirements I had remaining for a high school degree - even P.E. ! I had to learn soo much about tennis and bowling that now I hate them! I also took English and Economics.. I keep thinking there was one more class but maybe not.. For each class I had an instructor who would email me assignments and I could take as long a time or as quickly as I wanted. At the end of the course you go to a local school or library to take a proctored final exam. I believe you had to get a 70 to pass but it may have been a 90. I graduated after less than 2 months and received a real diploma and everything.. I even got invited to a graduation ceremony but wasn't able to make it back to Texas.
And it was much more affordable than the Briarwood School would be! LoL
This was all during the summer and I have to say that they were VERY flexible with my needs and it was always easy to get a hold of someone in the office if my Dad had a question ..
PS - If for whatever you reason you do decide to go back to public school I would highly suggest the Cy-Fair school district.. It's one of the best in Texas.. I personally went to Langham Creek high school which I belive was on .. 529 ? It's been 2 years since I left Houston sorry.. It was an AWESOME school just not the right one for me.. Looking back now I do miss it..

I have had no problem finding excellent jobs with this on my resume - it has no stigma like a GED or some other method would have.. In fact it usually works as an asset that I finished in 2 months .. I am very glad that I chose Texas Tech and highly reccomend their K-12 distance learning program..
If you have any more questions please feel free to message me or email me..

Good luck!

Loved this cute boutique right next to Texas Tech. It is in a great location that is easy to get to. The clothing, shoes, jewery, and purses were all sooooo great. The staff was very helpful and I found just what I wanted (a great top and some jewelry). The jean selection was great also. Sevens, Citizens, Rock & Republic, Hudson and Antik!
Pros: location, atmosphere, service

Wiley's Barbeque is amazing. That is the best way to describe the loads of perfectly cooked meats, tangy bbq sauce and cool sides. Every bite is like a taste from heaven, leaving you only with the desire to keep eating more and more. Although it is in the "bad" part of town, it is definitely worth the drive and not just in taste, but price too.

I came in one afternoon, looking for a forklift. The sale rep wasn't there at the time, but the branch manager was there and he took me out to look at some forklifts, he was very knowledgeably and helped me decide what truck I really needed. The branch manager and his personnel are the top. Thank you for all your help.

Apples is a very small one room Pizza deli, if you would call it that. Yes they do sale great pizza's from personal size to large and almost any topping that you want, but they also sale everything else from hamburgers, salads, steak fingers, tacos, hot dogs, catfish, ham and cheese sandwiches, and hand dipped ice cream cones and floats. There is no dining room so it is either get it to go or eat in your car, but it is so worth it. You don't have many restaurants out in the country, and we are lucky to have one that is great, with a ton of variety.
Pros: inexpensive, very fast, friendly
Cons: , closes early on sat., no dining room

I have only taken a few courses with South Plains professors, but they truly care about their students. I took a chemistry course with Dr. Yeh, and it was hilarious, but I learned a lot. I think that these professors have more emphasis on teaching and aiding students than at a larger university, where their main priority may be research.
