WOW.. what a small world! I graduated from there in 2004. I finished my whole senior year in 2 months. I wanted to finish up high school because I hated it .. I was always an outcast and I wanted to come out to California where my boyfriend lived.. Anyway.. After doing a few weeks of researching different places - I decided on Texas Tech and I highly reccomend it. They had the courses to meet all the requirements I had remaining for a high school degree - even P.E. ! I had to learn soo much about tennis and bowling that now I hate them! I also took English and Economics.. I keep thinking there was one more class but maybe not.. For each class I had an instructor who would email me assignments and I could take as long a time or as quickly as I wanted. At the end of the course you go to a local school or library to take a proctored final exam. I believe you had to get a 70 to pass but it may have been a 90. I graduated after less than 2 months and received a real diploma and everything.. I even got invited to a graduation ceremony but wasn't able to make it back to Texas. And it was much more affordable than the Briarwood School would be! LoL This was all during the summer and I have to say that they were VERY flexible with my needs and it was always easy to get a hold of someone in the office if my Dad had a question .. PS - If for whatever you reason you do decide to go back to public school I would highly suggest the Cy-Fair school district.. It's one of the best in Texas.. I personally went to Langham Creek high school which I belive was on .. 529 ? It's been 2 years since I left Houston sorry.. It was an AWESOME school just not the right one for me.. Looking back now I do miss it.. http://schools.cfisd.net/langham/index.stm I have had no problem finding excellent jobs with this on my resume - it has no stigma like a GED or some other method would have.. In fact it usually works as an asset that I finished in 2 months .. I am very glad that I chose Texas Tech and highly reccomend their K-12 distance learning program.. If you have any more questions please feel free to message me or email me.. Bj_Osterhout@yahoo.com Good luck!
