I found this place about 3 months ago and i couldent be more impressed. The fish all look very healthy and well cared for and i have had no trouble with anything that i have purchased. They also have a nice bonus card that gives you money back when you spend a certain amount. I have had a lot of experience with fish stores, both as an employee and a customer and i can say that these guys are doing it all right!

I visited Mr Aquarium 2 months ago and the shop was awesome. All the fish were in spotless containers and aquariums. About 2 weeks ago, I took a friend and my daugter there. It was so sad to see the Betta fish in tiny containers filled with feces. We selected a Betta in one of the less polluted containers, for someone else. The fish was dead only a few hours later. An employee I spoke with was very helpful in answering my question on how to set up an aquarium and to recommend what type of fish were best suited for my choice of aquarium. The store also ordered my 5 gallon glass aquarium which is really nice. I think the merchandise is great and prices are reasonable, however, I'd be reluctant to purchase fish from Mr. Aquarium again. I have been buying fish from Mr. Aquarium for about the last five or so years. They are always helpful. I have only had problems once - and it wasn't their fault or their fish. They honestly worked with me and my tank until things were right again. I would not buy fish anywhere else in the Lubbock area. Their crew really care about the hobby of fish keeping and don't try to sell you something to just make the sale. They have also bought fish from me. I had a load of baby cichlids. Took them in and they bought them. Their prices are fair and their fish are great. They also have a lot of equipment. PROS: Great crew; great selection of fish both fw and sw CONS: Need bigger place so they can have even more fish

And I don't mean fish to eat either. You can get a decent selection of fish for your aquarium at mr. aquarium. They have numerous fresh and salt water fish at good prices. The associates are quite knowledgable about fish and can easily answer most of your questions. I recommend this place as a good place to buy fish and supplies.
