The Los Angeles Farmers Market is one of my favorite places to shop. They have so many places to shop at in addition to the fresh produce that you would normally find at a regular temporary one. They have some great shops like meats, ice cream, bakeries. The food here is great and they have so many selections to choose from too.

This is not a weekly market set up in an empty parking lot and down within the day. It's a permanent fixture that has your usual Farmer's Market fare like produce and flowers, but there are also meat counters and lots of great counter-joints, and permanent shops that sell nik nacs and souveniers. I go here for the food. The counter joints are affordable and some of the best food around. The selection allows you to go with friends who can't decide what they want.

Farmer's Market is my favorite place for lunch! It offers a wide variety of food selections from traditional hamburgers to Middle Eastern food. It offers a wonderful atmosphere for the whole family that's relaxing and fun. But, it's not all about food. There are also many shops selling all kinds of stuff. A definite must if you're in L.A.

I enjoy coming here for the free samples of fresh baked breads, sweets, dried fruit and fresh fruit. It's always fun to walk around and the vendors are very friendly and willing to assist you in anyway possible. There is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from and the prices are incredibly affordable. Some of the places to sit are dirty and need more attention but you won't lack for entertainment. Try the beignets at the Cajun place and if you have room left over try some of the soft serve ice cream. Free parking too if your lucky and it's not too crowded. Bring everyone and great place for out of town guests.

Farmer's Market is one of the last standing original places left in the Fairfax District. It is so great, you can get those silly quirky souveniers there, eat there in a variety of places. Grocery Shop, they have the best butcher there I think it is called Tisqualas (spelling). It is a piece of the history of the Fairfax Dristrict. Everything around there has changed, they even took away the back part of the Farmer's Market to put up the Grove. If you have out of town company you have to take them there. It is nice to go there and people watch... They also have great fruit stands, grapes the size of strawberries!!!!
PROS: They offer so much.. .. great place to take company from out of town.
CONS: Since they built up the area, parking is not easy, and it is always crowded, but worth it to see.
