I LOVE the Guess here. There is a nice layout for the new clothing, shoes, and jeans areas. The new clothing is at the front, as usual, and the jeans are off to each side, in the middle, with a jean selection rack that you can examine styles on before choosing which one you want the saleswoman/man to retrieve your size in. The shoe area has neatly arranged seats that you can see all of their shoes from easily. The selection is separated into sales and new merchandise. The sales rack is in the back, and surprisingly large. The jewelry is separated into different places, but there's always a sales basket with a few dollars slashed off the original price for jewelry that has aged a few months.

You could spend days browsing the extensive collection of books here if you have an interest in movies, television or theatre. You really won't find any discounts or sales here, but they have everything in the most recent editions. They publish thousands of plays as well, so the place is always filled with actors needing to pick up a copy of Long Day's Journey into Night or Pygmalion.

Yeah this place definitely falls under “other”. If you’re searching for the perfect mouse skull or human femur for under $60, then you’ve come to the right place. The window display alone is enough to make you stop and stare for ten minutes. They specialize in selling crazy, creepy stuff, but a lot of it is really cool. Definitely worth walking in and checking out.

More
My wife and I found Coronado Jewelers because it is tucked away next to the shoe repair place with the big shoe car (Quality Shoe Repair)? But inside there is a lot to look through. There are only two guys working here, but they have a number of very unique resale pieces at very reasonable prices. My mother in law must have spent 45 minutes browsing through, and it is not that big a place.
The owner is also a very skilled jeweler himself, and created a platinum wedding band for me with the exact size, design, and feel I was looking for. We now use this place for all of our repairs and jewelry related services. Stop in and I think you will also put in in your registry of West LA services.

This is definitely a "different" coffee house, appropriate for Hollywood. The interior is very dark, with long tables shared by writer-types on laptops and artsy folks with sketch pads. There are pool tables and computers with paid internet services. The coffee is quite good- try the macchiato- though the servers sometimes focus on their "regulars" sitting at the bar rather than the growing line. The have a variety of snacks and light meals- I really liked the vegetable sandwich I got that came with these cool veggie chips. It is a little pretentious in here and the music is sometmes loud. Still, its a fun place to come with friends for good coffee and a non-standard environment.

If you come to Chinatown at all, you must visit this store. It has all the exotic fare you would expect at a shop like this (bird's nest, shark fin, ginsing), but it has a great variety of products for everyday folks, like Asian candy, cookies, tea sets, teabags, etc. IF you need a ricecooker or any cooking instrument for Chinese food they also have it. Nearby are shops and eateries so you can rest your feet after shopping!

I bought some flowers at this location and they were so beautiful. I dont buy flowers all the time so I didnt know what is a reasonable price but the flower arrangement that I bought was so beautiful and the flowers were so fresh. It was definitely worth whatever I paid. Parking was bit of a problem but I would come here again.
