I usually like boutiques, but this place is so overrated. There's a line just to get in. The security guard outside acts like a club bouncer. He decides when you go in. Everything in there is sooo expensive. They sell a Junk Food tee for $30 plus, and I found the same one on sale at Hot Topic for $ 8. In my opinion, you are paying for the experience.

I was expecting not to like it, but I did. Most places in Hollywood are super expensive and you can't afford to buy a hair tie. But this place has things for a college kid up to a movie star. I'm always hearing about so and so that was there the day before, but since it's usually someone known for their good taste, it's ok. I make a stop in here before the new seasons start, and since they've gotten to know me (they've mistaken me for someone that used to be on a sitcom and now does movies), they let me in on the next big thing. My friends wonder how I always have the new hot thing when the stars do, but I havent' told. I just smile. I think this store is why I've never been to Fred Segal...
