Kabuki has a lot of different locations--check out the web link (Hollywood, Burbank, Pasadena, etc.). The atmosphere is open, modern, yuppy, young and trendy (at least in Hollywood). The rolls are cheap (about 2.50 for a salmon roll) and generous. This is a fun place to go with friends. The booths might be better for a date. If you go to the Hollywood location you can plan a night by also going to the Archlight for a film afterwards, or if you're a bookworm step nextdoor to Border's on Sunset. Parking is hard to find...down an alley off Sunset behind the restaurant. But the parking is pretty cheap/free if you're there for two hours (I think).
