Bombay Cafe of Pico Blvd looks very plain from the outside. You wonder if you should really be going in. Don't be fooled by the exterior. The quality of the food is excellent and the owner of this restaurant has been featured on Food Network. The clientèle is mostly American. They offer a great variety of appetizers. They also have a full bar inside. The food is very flavorful but not spicy. If you like spicy Indian food, make sure you tell them to make it spicy when you order. Service is quick and friendly.

I have been to India before. I think the food in Bombay Cafe is not bad which is much more refined than what I ate in India. But the price is not cheap at all, about $30/ person. Most of the dishes are simillar in flavor, a little bit spicy, full of curry. But the yoghourt with mango is pretty good. What really annoying me is a fly flying over the bowls all the time

i struggled to find good solid Indian food on the west side - a place that is not trying to mix in California healthy living or some type of fusion. But then I found Bombay Cafe, and now stop here on my way back from work all the time. I like the butter chicken and the lamb frankies (really an Indian burrito made up of lamb masala and a wonderful sauce of Indian seasonings).
The best part about Bombay Cafe is the price - most things a very reasonable, coming in at the $7 - $9 range. Even the most expensive dishes are only $15.
