Best margaritas I have ever had. Are you craving a margarita? Go to the Mexican Village. I always get the house margaritas on the rocks with salt...then I have 3 more ;). Also, my husband is a vegetarian and he has a nice selection to choose from. The veggie fajitas are some of the best food I have ever eaten. One bite and your hooked. Also, the wait staff is so wonderful. Coco is a co-owner and he always welcomes me with a kiss on the cheek and a free homemade tequila shot. :)
Pros: Wonderful wait staff, best margaritas I have EVER had,
Cons: Sometimes there is mandatory valet parking.

MV is absolutely possitively one of my all time faves!!!! This place boasts and impressive menu and a WONDERFUL service staff, everytime I go there I am greeted with a smile and a cheerful hello. I am a vegetarian and they are always so nice about accomdating my diet. For other herbivores, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and have the veggie fajitas. These are the best in LA. . Period. And while you're there, have yourself a nice cadillac Margarita, the specialty of the house. Trust me, that's all you'll need :) Bon appetite!
Pros: wonderful staff, delicious food, great family atmosphere, best drinks!
Cons: you have to go home afterwards

I had a good time here. I ordered a burrito and my husband got cheese enchiladas. There's music and a place to dance. There is a parking lot on site, but it's small.

Mexican Village's happy hour specials are the best! They give free appetizers but you just have to get there early or else they will run out. Even if you don't come here for happy hour, the food is very good and I always love when the restaurant owner walks around balancing a beer bottle on his head. I've had nothing but good experiences dining at Mexican Village.
Pros: Good Prices, good food, friendly staff, happy hour

I have been there a few times with co-workers and also with friends and the food is always great. The service has always been very good, staffers treat you as if you were part of the family and the owner always stops by and asks if everything is fine. If you go you gotta have the albondigas soup- they use fresh vegetables and the meat is very tender. It's one of the best I've had. The restaurant has a very nice selection of tequila, as a Mexican restaurant should, from the very expensive sipping tequilas (selecion suprema, among others) to the stuff for shooting...On the weekends there is dancing and a DJ who plays everything from salsa to rock en espanol. I would recommend this place to any one that likes authentic Mexican food and a festive atmosphere at a very reasonable price.
Pros: really authentic food at reasonable prices
Cons: really busy weekend nights

The Mexican Village was a good little find for me and my wife that live in Silverlake. They have delicious food for about 10$ a plate and a DJ that plays a mix from salsa to reggae. The best nights to go are on a Friday or Saturday. It pops. Go early have some food and margaritas, then dance away. Beautifully decorated.
Pros: Crowded, Good food, Outdoor patio
Cons: Small, Valet Parking Only
