Well first of all I am not a big fan of pizza, but when I heard about this place, I had to try it and what a delight. The Pizza was like none I had before so I went back and tried other delights and so far, after experimenting for about a month,I havenot been disappointed. The service is good and the atmosphere is great. Totally home style and comfortable for big or small parties or just your lonesome. Casual dress and friendly people. I even got to meet the owner, who came up and introduced himself and his wife. Right at home here with great food, parking lot small but they have arranged for customers to park across the street if their lot is full. Get out and have a grand time. Pros: the best Pizza and Italian I could find Cons: None that I see

I had been driving past this restaurant and always wanted to try it. Today we had a bacon pizza, a pepperoni pizza, hot wings and an anti-pasto salad. We washed it down with whire belgian ale that was frosty cold. The pizza is VERY good. It's hard to find good wood fire pizza on the west coast, and this is a gem when it comes to that. The crust is delicious and the toppings were good quality. The wings were actually quite good too! Well spiced and didn't taste frozen or generic. The decor is unique, and if you are a local of the Silverlake / Los Feliz area you will appreciate the pictures of the area dating back to the 1800's. Our only complaint was that the service was quite slow. We had to get up a few times to find our server sitting near the back to get a few more pints. We also had to look for her to get the check. If the service gets better, the place will be an awesome place to eat and have some tasty cold beers. I'm willing to give it another shot. Pros: Pizza is very good, so are the wings, cold beer Cons: Service is a little slow and poor

Everything that could have went wrong did. The food showed up over a half an hour late and very cold. We ordered mannicotti and received mislabled cannelloni instead, WITH CHICKEN IN IT, FOR A VEGATARIAN!!!! Any food that made my friend physically ill is not something I'll recommend. Besides that the pizza was flavorless and very small. The topper was calling to let them know and being told that there was no manager by some snotty high school aged sounding girl who didn't bother to apologize and offered a credit for an individual pizza as compensation, an $8 credit for a $40+ completely terrible meal. Pros: none I experienced Cons: awful food and customer service

This is my first review, but I just had to voice my opinion about Nicky D's. I've traveled all over the states. No matter where I am, I always keep an eye out for good thin crust pizza like one can get in New York. After moving to LA, I was lucky to find Nicky D's not too far from my neighborhood. It's one of the best pizza's I've ever had, which is saying quite a lot. His pizza is always crispy. The crust is delicious.The topping never overwhelm and are never overwhelmed by the crust. I've never had a soggy pizza there. Based on my extensive experience with Nicky's pizza, I think that the previous reviewers that posted such horrible reviews sound like unscrupulous competitors. Pros: Great New York style pizza!! Cons: Not within walking distance of my house

I mean , I went looking for it, but this pizza was just a blanket of gooey cheese with toppings on top. Don't get me wrong - I love cheese, but when it comes to pizza, you need a nice ratio of tomato to cheese, and this place just fails utterly.
