For a chain Italian restaurant, the food at Louise's is really good. The lasagna couldn't be more perfect, and my husband thinks the spaghetti is great. The portions are huge, but try to save room, because their tiramisu is great. Surprisingly, the location on Melrose is pretty easy to get in, even on weekends. The Pasadena location tends to be more crowded, in our experience. If you're willing to sit outside, you're almost guaranteed no wait on Melrose at least.

Louise's is a good middle of the road sit down establishment. The dishes range from pasta and salad to heavier fare, and the atmosphere is low key but fun. If you have a hard time deciding, they offer a sampler of several wines that is perfect to share with a friend--or keep all to yourself!!
