Had one of the best meals I've had in LA so far (in four years). Had a peppercorn steak that was fabulous, and the mustard mashed potatoes were equally great. Went with a group, and the service was fantastic. Very cool vibe in the whole place- went early, so didn't see the late-night crowd. But the decor is very hip, and I've heard the crowd is as well. My friend just had her birthday there and wow what a great place. The food was really good, some of the best chicken curry I have had any where in los angeles, they have a great vegetarian plate, and my husband had the filet which was "melt in your mouth" delicious! Based on the Citysearch reviews, I was looking for lamb and duck...but they had revised the menu and those are no longer offered. I ended up getting the BBQ ribs. Those were good, but as is always the case with ribs...messy. Our waitress was "in-training", but was nice. The desserts (we had a hazelnut ice cream puff & flourless chocolate cake) were great. I enjoyed the hazelnut ice cream and the chocolate cake was to die for! Their calamari is pretty good also. All in all, not bad. :) Pros: Staff, Atmosphere Cons: Small Menu

Our Fish pie was to die for and my man had the drunken duck--- ohhhh so good! After we ate - we did not even realize that they had dj's in the back lounge room---- with couches and dancing. Then-- we discovered one more great area-- the patio... Go there and take a long walk around... It has a great view in each nook.... And the pretty faces.. are just an additive. Pros: the food, the ambience, no cover and a great Cons: come early.., lots have discovered, wait if come too late

I went last night and it was just the most beautiful place I have yet to see in Los angeles. The decor is warm and welcoming. The food was very, very good. Try the drunken Duck.( large portions too!) The best I have ever had! The staff was very helpful and lovely . The red lounge area is breathtaking, along with the patio area. I now will have my Birthday Party there. The best nights are off nights for romantic evenings. I would try maybe a tuesday or monday night. They also have great live music on Mondays. take a stroll through the escape of Tangier. You will not be disappointed! Pros: ambience, food, romance Cons: nothing to put here!
