Mexico City serves good, authentic Mexican food (try the spinach enchiladas) in a lively, festive atmosphere. The dining area is large and can get loud, but that adds to the fun. The trendy crowd can include the occasional indie rock star on any given day, but even so, the place is a bit overrated. Although the service was a bit slow and the prices above average for Mexican fare in LA, this spot takes the cake for freshness! From their beans to the salsa for chips, every dish was bursting with the flavor that comes only from using fresh ingredients. The ambiance is casual but clean and festive, and the roomy booths make it a good choice for dinner out with friends.
