I love this place. It's a great place to stop by after a night of partying. They're open all the time and serve typical American diner food. My friends and I go in for the breakfast. I always end up there between 2am and 6am. They have steak and eggs and I think the pancakes are the best. They give you a giant heap of sourdough toast. All the servings are large enough to share. If you're on a diet then this is not the place for you, but for the rest of us it's good consistent food at reasonable prices.

The plus side to the Pantry is that is open all the time. Great if you're heading home from a party and you're hungry and nothing else is open. The food is quite greasy, but that doesn't seem to bother many folks. The health conscious should defintely avoid this place at all costs. The pancakes are to die for and the pork chops and eggs are one of a kind. The huge servings of sour dough toast make you wanna come back. The price is fairly low compared with other diners, but it gets dark and drafty at times. I guess you should visit this place at least once in your life because it truly is a landmark.

The Original Pantry Cafe, located prominently on Figueroa, deserves almost landmark status in downtown Los Angeles. It's been around forever and is never closed. Because it's open 24/7, it's always a consistently reliable source of typical American diner food. The breakfast menu is definitely a popular attraction, and portions are big enough to fully satisfy munchies any time of the day.
