Grauman's Chinese Theatre turns a night of filmgoing into a real event. The Chinese motiff, with dragons and ornate decorations, adds a whole other dimension to the movie experience. It truly is larger than life, so it's best to see a fantastic movie there. I saw the first Lord of the Rings there, and the atmosphere of the place really helped me get into the film.

Beyond the famous imprints outside this Hollywood landmark, there are a few good reasons to stop by Mann's. The entertainers dressed as Hollywood Legends such as Marilyn Monroe or Spiderman have become regular fixtures outside. Not to mention that you can actually see a MOVIE inside this old relic, and experience the lavish decor that was once a standard for Tinseltown.

This is one of the most famous landmarks in Hollywood since it has the celebrity handprints right in front. However the theater itself is quite normal and I enjoyed my experience here. The theaters are large and the seating is very comfortable. The food is on the pricey side but you would expect that in a tourist destination. Overall it was worth it and you should check it out if you are curious!

Although I have never seen a movie here I thought it was quite a fun place to walk around. They have a ton of street performers out there (when I went I saw a person dressed like Chucky, someone playing the guitar and singing, etc). They also have star's handprints outside of the actual theatre. It is located right next to the Hollywood and Highland complex so if you want to shop or grab a bite to eat, you can.
Downfall is there are a BUNCH of tourists. So if you're not into the whole tourist thing I wouldn't suggest going, especially on a weekend. But if you have friends new to the area, you should definitely bring them here.
Also, lots of fun stuff to do around the area.

This place is neat to go visit. I've never actually seen a movie there, but the outside of it is a cool enough attraction. All of the Hollywood stars handprints and footprints and signatures are right outside and there are some neat little tourists shops all over the place in this area. There tends to be a lot of tourists here, so if you're going for a normal movie, it might be a little annoying, but if you're gonna be a tourist right along with them, it's a lot of fun to go see!

This neck of the woods used to be a bit sketchy, but now that it's been Disnified, there's not much to worry about before the sun goes down. This is a place only Hollywood could have churned out with pagoda's art art deco embellishments being vomited out in a way that is nothing short of frenzied. The handprints outside are fun, but to really appreciate the place, shell out the cash for a ticket and see a movie (preferably something actiony -- these movies have the community atmosphere of a baseball game in this sprawling movie palace.

If you haven't been, you should. It is an interesting experience; from the people, to the sights, to the souveniers, and junk hawking peddlers. The least interesting thing is probably the movie. High price, but this is a place to experience what LA tourism (not LA) is really like.

A wonderful experience. The building architecture is one of a kind. The foot prints outside draw attention and star gazers.
The crowd outside on Hollywood Blvd can be fun to watch. There is a clown who forms balloons, and a local street performer dressed in a gold costume, who dances mechanically while making weird sounds with his mouth. lol.
But, inside the theater is just like the movies! Its huge, and elegant and I believe movies are played on digital projection. The seats are comfortable, and there are plenty of them!
My fiance and I went to a free movie screening for our first time visiting the theater and they handed out free popcorn and drinks. :) By far, I found it to be the best theater in LA.
