After hearing about this place for so long, I decided to try it out. Boy am I bummed it took me so long to try. I had the seared toro, which was better than anything I've had in awhile. Really good vietnamese spring rolls. The mini crunchy crabs were good, too. The executive chef used these specials salts for each dish. It was quite remarkable. I wish it was open tonight.
Pros: Interesting style, knowledgable chef
Cons: Not open on Mondays

Delicious sushi and fun hangout for a great price. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming. The sushi is some of the freshest around and the cut is large for the price. The salmon collar is excellent too. The chefs are great and love creating their specialties. The fried peanut butter and banana with ice cream dessert makes a delicious ending to your meal.

The food is always perfect. If you want to try Japanese BBQ you MUST try this place. We go there weekly basis. Last 4 times we had one of the best servers. His name is Ryo and very kind & friendly. He can answer any questions you have. He's a Japanese American and speak both English and Japanese fluently. Try to go there when he is present. We go back again soon. lol. :)
Pros: salted flavor meat is excellent.
Cons: parking is small but valet is available and expect waiting on weekends

Make sure to try Bar Hayama when you want to treat yourself. It's best to come with a couple friends. This way you can share the small plates and try a variety of dishes. Our bill came out to $50 each (in addition to food, we got a bottle of sake and 2 desserts) and we left stuffed and extremely satisfied with our meal. Here are a couple must try dishes: Toshi's Special yellowtail sashimi with myouga (fresh fish with a delish light peanuty sauce), Black Cod with mushroom ponzu butter sauce (the cod melts in your mouth and the sauce is to die for), Main Lobster Dynamite (yum!).
Pros: Dining outdoors by fire pit, FOOD, large sake selection
Cons: The fire pit can get full fast on busier nites so try to call ahead.

This place has some very unique asian dishes. It is a cute, little restuarant that serves delicious, yet good for you, food. I love the tofu steak dish and the pad thai is always good too.
Cons: Parking

Pretty much everything on the menu is good. I usually order the Ten Don Combination w/Cold Soda Noodles. You must add the tanuki tempura to add crunch to it. The Ahi Tuna salad is also great but watch out because the dressing has a bite to it.
Pros: food, price
Cons: Parking is ridiculous to find.

I always order off the Daily Specials Menu. They have alot of fresh rolls beyond the typical staples like California, Philadelphia, Spicy Tuna, etc. I love eating here. Great and entertaining service from both the chefs and servers. A definite recommend!
Pros: Fresh Sushi & Original and Creative Rolls
Cons: I wish there was a location in Orange County

Great casual place for fresh sushi! The rolls are huge and the prices are good. The rolls are extremely creative and the waitresses/sushi chefs are very friendly. The service is super fast and it is pretty easy to find a parking spot. I love to pick this up on my way home from work!
Pros: very fresh sushi, good prices, good lunch special
Cons: pretty small
