It's really great here. My favorite rolls are the TNT roll, Calamari roll, Hungry roll and volcano roll. If it's your first time try the TNT roll. I guarantee you will be hooked and will go back to try other! The gyoza is delicious!!!!!!!
Pros: Example: best croissants in town
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I've taken my girlfriend to this place twice now and we've made the mistake of ordering too much food both times. This is a really fun place with awesome specialty rolls and fast service.
The rolls are huge though, so, be ready to eat. If you order too much sushi, you can't just look at it...you have to eat it.
It's a little tiny place, so I can imagine there's a wait on the weekends at prime hours, but I'm not sure about that....
Great sushi restaurant...go eat there.

My favorite local sushi place. The only person who ever hated it was from Georgia who obviously knew nothing about sushi! (said the fish wasn't hard enough!). Anyway, it's super fresh, super cas., and super fab. Great date place & totally affordable & nice staff--thought the service can be slow unless you sit at the bar. Also, because the bill is not itemized, it makes industry folk happy (food & alcohol on the same business tab).
Pros: affordable, local & yummy sushi--chefs are great.
Cons: slow service, hard to get waiters attention.

If I had to choose ONE and ONLY ONE sushi restaurant to frequent for the rest of my life, it would definitely have to be Niko Niko on Vermont hands down. The rolls are beautifully made and presented! The fish tastes fresh and is served at just the right temperature ;-) (Yes, I have been to other places where the tuna rolls have been warm. yuck!) . Niko Niko is probably the only place where I choose to sit at the sushi bar because it is so fun to watch the sushi chefs prep the rolls, and they are really charming and personable as well. Although I am unfortunate enough to be allergic to shrimp, crab and lobster, there are still things on the menu for me to eat. The sushi chefs are great at modifying the rolls for my special needs.
First time visitors must definitely try the Ono sushi or the Ono and Yellowtail sashimi.
Their teriyaki sauce is also worth noting. It is made at the restaurant and doesn't have the aftertaste that many teriyaki sauces have.
The service is great as well, I don't have to wave a giant banner to get my drink refilled or plates taken away.
Pros: excellent food, great value for price, food quality, presentation of sushi rolls, portion sizes, service /hospitality, occasional celebrity sightings, 80's music playing in the background
Cons: can't seat large parties, valet parking

After living 100 feet away from Niko Niko for years in the Hollymont Apartments, I decided tonight that it was just plain weird that I've never stepped foot in here. Then again, I never watch movies at the Los Feliz 3, but that's another story. What a great experience. Over 50 fantastic rolls (Paradise roll, as recommended by another user, is perfection on a plate), very fresh (the Mackeral always being my "test", and this Mackeral did not die in vain!) and a very attentive staff. Granted, I did sit at the bar as I was alone, so I can't speak to the table service. I couldn't help thinking that based on the confined dining area, this is not the place to go with a group larger than 4. As far as Los Feliz and Silver Lake sushi goes (Zen=dreadful quality and Coda=nightmarish service) this is the destination of choice from here on out for me.
Pros: Fresh food and fast service
Cons: Not for large parties

I love this place. I love that is small and always full of people. This tells me that the sushi is always moving and fresh. It always tastes so fresh. My favorite are the Rolls they are soooooo tasty! My top 3 rolls are The TNT roll, the baked spicy lobster roll and the O'yshi roll!!!!!
Pros: Always tastes fresh
Cons: Don't call take out or they will start to make your order when you actually arrive to pick it up.
