This restaurant, which was a welcome addition to the neighborhood, closed about two months ago. A new wine and tapas bar has opened within the past week or so in the same location.

The food tastes weird. They supposedly make their sauce but it's weird at best, downright awful at worst. The nail in the coffin however comes from their expensive prices. This is probably the ONLY serious italian restaurant in the USC-area, but I think many of us here would trade this place in for an Olive Garden. Kudos to the restaurant's decor and quiet interior, which is a marked contrast to its neighbor, the raucous coffee shop Ragazzi.
Pros: nice decor, romantic
Cons: weird-tasting food, expensive prices

This may have been the best restaurant service I've ever received in LA, but, considering my friends and I were the ONLY people in the place, I suppose that's to be expected. Its in a rather nasty north-of-USC neighborhood, but the ambience (at least tries) to be classy. Fake flowers and fake candles adorn the red and white table cloths while the standard italian menu features (suprise!) plenty of mushrooms. Its not bad considering the neighboring restaurant options, but if you can, drive some place with a little more authenticity.
