Rumor has it that Mashti’s is the oldest ice cream join in Hollywood. That’s why its such a surprise that so many people haven’t tried it out. Then again, the fact that it’s in one of the sketchier late night mini-malls around might have something to do with it. But braving the local color and uber-tight parking lot more than pays off once you get a taste of the homemade Persian frozen delicacies like Safron Rosewater Ice Cream (their signature). Personally, I’m a fan of the more plain jane flavors like pistachio and chocolate chip – especially in the awesome “Clone Cone” form (a Clown Cone with another cone placed on top) – which have the natural flavors and creaminess you really want if you’re gonna take a Fro Yo break and splurge the calories on the real thing. If either Mashti – or his brother Mehdi – are there, introduce yourself and they’ll be more than happy to chat you up with the history of ice cream in Persia/Iran and how the unique rosewater-based flavors they specialize in.
Pros: Authentic Persian rosewater flavors and homemade TLC
Cons: Sketchy locale for late night outtings

There’s probably around 42 sweet reasons to visit Milk on a daily basis. The three that stand out most in my mind are: (1) Baby Caramel Apples, (2) $.50 Bon Bons and (3) the “Warm Ooey Gooey Chocolate Sundae”. Here’s why: (1) Baby Apples make just about anything cuter, (2) I challenge you to find anything more delish for 50-cents within 10 square miles, (3) They use coconut ice cream for a genius twist on the classic sundae. Some things to note: I once had an entire cookies and cream malt that took me a full two days to recover from. Don’t get me wrong, it was an amazing tastebud experience, but the amount of creamy calories packed into that glass could fuel pack mule team for a month. My advice is to split your shake with a friend the first time around and then slowly work up to the full glass over the course of a couple visits. I plan to actually go back soon for something that doesn’t require an insulin chaser and my eye is currently on the Prosciutto & Provolone with arugula, potato slices and pickled onions. Will report back here after my savory nosh.
Pros: Best casual evening dessert spot in WeHo
Cons: Parking (though I've heard rumors of a lot across the street

I went to this Carvel on santa monica blvd to buy a valentines cake and some flying saucers , it was excellent!. While there ,I had a vanilla and chocolate soft serve cone rolled in chocolate crunchies, which was heavenly! It tasted just like I remember. The owner was very helpful, courteous and friendly. All the cakes are made on site, so I strongly recommend if you need a birthday cake, to go to this store. They are the best!
I bought a six pack of flying saucers and within minutes they were devoured! They are so good you cant just eat one.

I wanted to see what the buzz was about so I finally tried Pinkberry since they opened up one in my area. The refreshing, yogurt flavor is the ideal, light dessert to a heavy meal. I can eat a whole medium cup without feeling guilty! The toppings range from fresh fruits to sugary cereals to ricecakes (my favorite!) The line get's kind of long after dinnertime and the price is kind of high, but it's still worth it in my opinion. The decor is very cute too!
Pros: fresh yogurt, great toppings
Cons: pricey, parking, long lines

Sample from the eclectic array of frozen yogurt flavors and find your fave one. The FroYo joint offers amongst other flavors: Raspberry, Pomegranate, Green Tea, The Original and Acai Berry. Top the cool arrangement with fresh fruits and diverse yummy toppings like crunchy granola, cookies, divers nuts, colored cornflakes, Gummy Bears, Fruity Pebbles, M&M's and sugar sprinkles. I got a Raspberry FroYo topped with crispy granola and blueberries. The yogurt bar itself looked very neat and clean. Don't think about calories the tasty dessert is made out of non-fat yogurt and tastes light and pure.
Pros: FroYo, wide array of flavors and toppings

i give this place 5-star based on the tastiness of the yogurt, the cleanliness and the freshness of the fruits. The music was kind of loud, so we took a seat outside, which was nice too.

Erm. I wanted ice cream last night, but my pal kept saying we needed to go to Tutto Tutti. After I'd had a glass of wine, the name of the place was pretty fun to say so I gave in. Tutto Tutti it was. And I liked it. I just had the Virgin plain and I had regular strawberries on it. They only have one size--for 4 bucks--and I looked at it and said, oh, I don't think I'll be eating all of this. But sure enough, I did. My friend got the Double Wonder, which is his favorite. I tasted it. It tastes like cheesecake a bit. The verdict: Tutto Tutti is Tutto Tasty. I'd eat it again. I'd probably eat it with my bare hands, ladies and gents. It's hidden and it was not busy. Get you some before it 'splodes!
Pros: Unique for your mouth
Cons: One size and you gotta eat it all. That's not really a con. Don't be wasteful! That's a con.

One yogurt place of all yogurt places. There are so many different frozen yogurt places now, but this one is different. This one has so many different yogurt flavors and they charge you by weight! It's very interesting process, you just walk up to the row of yogurt dispensers and pick what you want and pour them into the container, and then you can place whatever toppings. At the end, they'll measure it and off you go. Comes out lot cheaper than other yogurt places. I love the plain, berries, tiramisu flavors.
