If you want an awesome place to stay while in Hollywood I definitely recommend The Roosevelt hotel on Hollywood Blvd, which is across the street from the Kodak theater. It recently was remodeled and the inside is absolutely gorgeous, classy and stunning all at the same time. The staff is very nice and has a very nice restaurant off the lobby. Walking distance from lots of restaurants, clubs, coffee houses and much much more. The rooms are nice and clean. They have rooms to rent out for parties or meetings. Infact the Oscars originally were hosted there. I would stay here again.

This hotel was actually better than I expected it to be, especially considering that rooms are relatively inexpensive. The rooms are well-furnished and comfortable, though a tad outdated. Staff is very gracious and sweet. A lot of celebs hang out here. The Internet here is free. I love their bath products, especially the soaps.

This old famous Hollywood Hotel is located in the heart of Hollywood, next to Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the El Capitan Theatre and the Kodak Theatre inside the Highland Shopping Center. The hotel has been in business for 75 years and the history alone makes it worth visiting. There are myths about Marilyn Manroe haunting a certain room and mirror and countless celebrities have stayed there throughout the years. The area is crowded with tourist all during the day so traffic is very heavy, but across the street there is a metrolink with easy acess that goes all over Los Angeles. I only visited the hotel as a tourist looking because the rates were for the room were too expensive for me. But it's a beautiful hotel that I plan on staying in next time I'm renting a room in Hollywood.

For starters, the Roosevelt is truly a Hollywood landmark. There's a lot of history to the place, which some of the employees can tell you. Whoever owns this place has spent millions on refurbishing it to its original Art Deco style, and it's a pretty hip place. The rates are in the range I would expect for this level of hotel in this location (translation: not cheap, but it's not a motel 6). It's nice to stay in a place that actually has some character.

This hotel is nice, but nothing extremely special. The rooms are big enough, with nothing exceptional about the mattresses or bathrooms. The staff is friendly, and the lobby is beautiful, but I would only stay here if you want a hotel located where you can walk around downtown without having to rent a car.

Legend has it that this is oone oof the moost haunted places in hollywoood. Room 928 is supposed to be haunted by Moontgomery Cliff - who haunts the rooom with his unwarranted bugle playing. Marilyn Moonroe haunts room 246 where she lived on and ooff throughout her short life. I haven't stayed here, but touring around the hotel, it seems as though it's not that different from its heyday in the 20's. Check ouut the muural on the bottoom oof the pool. This is a neat place too stay if you want to be right in the middle of holllywood -- it's right acrooss from Mann's.
