I plan to bring my friend back to this place because it has such a comfy feel to it and the food is absolutely delicious. The place is family run, so the service is friendly and homey. The milkfish, which I'm told is native to the Phillipines and is exported directly from the islands, was just crispy enough and very flavorful. I also liked the mango smoothie and the seafood soup, which reminded me a bit of gumbo. Yum!
Pros: Good food, good prices and a comfortable dining experience
Cons: Limited parking, no breakfast...yet

As I was reading georgeanda's review of Bahay Kubo. I noticed that it was posted 6 years ago. It left them a bad taste of a nice Filipino restaurant. I've been eating here for the past 2 years and for $ 5.99 (dinner or lunch is the same price) a plate combo (two course meal and rice) with some free soup, I belive they have given people in the area, substantial value for their money. Would I bring a hot date to impress, maybe not. This is a fast food (turo turo) restaurant and people just want to eat and leave maybe on their break from work or too lazy to cook. What I like about bahay kubo is , it brings me the ambiance of a Philippine traditional turo turo restaurant with varieties of food and knick knacks on the side such as turon (banana roll), kamote cue, delicacies etc. For the most part, I like cooking my own food but if people are in a hurry and would like to get their quick fix of a Filipino meal, I recommend this place and maybe they can even catch a show of wowowie while they eat their food. By the way, the staff are very friendly.
Pros: yes
Cons: yes

This is the place to get your fix for chinese noodles. It's a family owned restaurant with a homey feel and once you have a bite of their mixed noodles you'll be addicted and won't be able to stop. They also have a location in Eagle Rock and in Hollywood. An affordable and delicious restaurant which has been around forever and is sure to become iconic for their Chinese noodles!!
Pros: Yummy food.

Leave them alone! They're only trying to make a living too just like you and me. I'm pretty sure they would have asked for your permission to use your business name if it was free. Why don't you open a real Aristocrat here in LA instead of putting down your fellow countrymen? That way you can crush this people in your own hands! Let their fate decide their destiny. If they are really lousy, then they won't stay in this business for too long. So don't waste your time ridiculing this place unless you intend to open a real Aristocrat here in LA. Also, when you open one here in LA, make sure it doesn't end up like the one in San Francisco where it didn't last that long!!! Remember, you cannot take your money when you die, so don't be too greedy! Now that you've succeeded in life, start thinking of ways to help other human beings. Just a piece of advice.......more power to all of you Reyes Family!
Pros: Patronize and support this place.
Cons: Do not put down your own kind, unless your greedy and unkind!

Every once in a while I try out "mysterious" places and this time it was well worth it..
By mysterious, I mean the sign outside had no mention of being Filipino. I had no idea what I was looking at so the owner, a young guy spent a few minutes explaining the dishes: the Jackfruit was excellent, the noodle dish which looked like Pad Thai, was also excellent. I was the last customer and they had no problem with me bringing my bicycle inside and didn't hassle me at all while eating as the crew was mopping up and I could tell most of them were ready to go for the evening....Very friendly and good tasting.
Pros: inexpensive $3.99 for 1 item combo; $5.99 for 2 item combo
Cons: none

It's a good sized Filipino restaurant that offeres a mini grocery like area. This is the place to go if you want a more home-cooked meal over DJ's Bibingkahan. It feels like home and you're surrounded by other Filipino markets in the area. There's plenty of parking in their lot. Great buy!
