I've watched American Idol for the first part of each season. The funniest and best part of the show is actually the auditions. While I think a lot of it is for the auditioners 15 minutes of fame, I still get a great kick out of it! Still haven't ever bothered watching it once it gets down to the final round.

I don't understand the appeal of this show in a town like LA. There are probably a dozen local acts/bands that are playing on any given night at half a dozen different clubs in town that are exceedingly better than any of the finalists on this show. It's no wonder "Vote For the Worst" does so well, but why hasn't LA caught on? Why does this town have Idol fever?

I have watched this show since the first one came on and I love to watch it. My favorite this season is Chris and I think he is going to win it all! Does anyone think Paula is acting a little weird this season, because I think she's acting pretty strange. I really like hearing the judges give their opinion, but I like hearing Simon the most, because he seems to be the most honest and he's always so blunt.

Can someone tell me why America is so lame to keep Kelly Pickler on there? She's the clone of Ashlee Simpson but a little bit dumber but her voice isn't that annoying. However, I'm so happy that Taylor Hicks is still there struttin' his harmonica self every week. He's different and that's why he's cool. Other than that, I don't really see any star quality in anybody else really. And... I think that the whole McPhee-ver thing is getting out of hand. She's "aiight" but really an American Idol? I think not. So maybe you should vote? But I've decided to stop caring and plus, the whole kick-off show is just too long for me to pay attention to.

I enjoy watching American Idol. I love to hear the contestants sing (good or bad) and hear the judges comments. At times I agree with them and at other times I disagree with them. Tonight i was sad to see Bucky go. Ace should have been the one. All in all I look forward to watching each week. It is a great show to watch and provides goo discussion topics with the wife after watching.
