Maybe OMNH was a better place to get your hair done when Rosario had a shop but she no longer has that shop-- it's closed. And there's a reason why: her lack of professionalism. I don't know who she's paying to give her these high ratings but I am making it my business to not let anyone else get their money stolen and hair jacked like I did. The first time I went in was a few months ago, and it was for a press. Rosario was 45 minutes late to our appointment. I waited for her, because I needed to get my hair done; she didn't apologize for her tardiness but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I went in just a few days ago to get twists and Rosario was not at the shop. I called her to remind her about our appointment and she said she'd be at the shop in 10 minutes. She ended up being a half an hour late. Again, she didn't apologize for her tardiness and lack if professionalism. Then she made an excuse about why she couldn't do twists but she could do a rod set. She reminded me over and over again that she had to go to the Jorge Lopez show. She rushed through my rod set (on the phone and getting directions to the Jorge Lopez show the whole time). Then she took out the rods before my hair was dry but didn't style the hair. She left without finishing my hair and charged me $75. And all she said was, "I'm sorry. I wish I could have taken my time but I have to go to the show, you know?" This woman is unprofessional and if she is a good hairstylist I haven't seen evidence of it yet. Like a couple of others, I had to go elsewhere to get the look I paid for at OMNH. Never again! Save your money...and find another place. Pros: Good Name Cons: Bad Service

I don't have the strength to tell the whole story but I had dread extensions done years ago at OMNH and they were great, The shop is worn down now and all of the good stylist have left and the ones there are completely incompent. I had my hair done, it took 13 hours, it was horrible. I had it all taken out and done again by another stylist ...it took 2-3 days and it still HORRIBLE. Thank God I had to come to NY and they have hooked me up and I have a contact in LA to keep it together for me. Don't ask me how much but it went well over 1k to come out with horrible work and the owner telling me that it was good and accepting no responsibiliy or concern for how I felt or why she let 1 stylist (I was her second head) and another inexperienced person work on me. A nightmare Pros: None left Cons: Incompetent stylist, nasty attitude

What does it matter if she has her 90 year old mother is there waiting for her ride to a day of social activities. If that bothers you then go when she is out. The dogs do not bother you if you don't bother them. They never come to me unless I call to them. To get back to How great of a job the hairdresser did on my head. They work with all types of hair, she is best known for African American hair.I am a White woman who has Frizzy,Fuzzy,Curly hair. You must be able to talk and communicate with the person who is working on your hair,they need to know who you are and what you do.With the death of her (Rosario)mother and business being so slow. She is finding it hard to make ends meet. We are all having similar problems financially, when we spend our money it has to be things we need and most of all it has to be done right. Or we will have to find another person to fix it.Then it becomes more costly because of the amount of work involved to get it back to the original state,& to do it again. We need to help the good small business owners stay in business, most of all the places we go to for OUR service. We need to help the people that help us look good. We need to help people make money and not worry about that person becoming so busy they can't take care of you. Oh My Nappy Hair Salon is an inviting and down to earth place. Rosario,the owner, is an exceptional educator concerning natural hair. Her establishment promotes being proud of who you are whether you are into the natural look or otherwise. Be proud of your self and confident in the choices you make, is what I sense from the atmosphere of her salon. The laughter from the customers are genuine and the conversations range from politics to relationships are inclusive. Once you step over her threshold, you feel right at home. I've learned a lot about my hair and Rosario has shown me nothing but patience and helpfulness. She has always accommodated me when I just walk in as opposed to making an appointment. Come on in! I've come to this city because of my job, not knowing where to go to get my hair done I looked online and found this salon like the name thought it was fitting, however after reading the reviews..I felt I would make an appointment and make an assessment for myself. I am so-oo happy I did I absolutely enjoyed meeting the Rosario and the staff here, they made me feel right at home from the start! talked about politics with old school music playing in the background..I mean really to feel like you belong is kinda like what we all look for..isn't it? PLUS my hair turned out to be done with love, it looked Great!!! Pros: thumbs up Cons: parking between 4-7 is not great because of main throughfare, there's parking in the area
