I have never liked Japanese food. Any raw food in general seems distasteful to me, so when I was literally dragged here, I already was biased. So when I write this review, I will say, in their defense, that to sushi lovers, you may find their food acceptable. However, as soon as I took a bite of seaweed, rice, and raw fish, I couldn't finish the rest of my meal, and on a bad day, I might have puked. The waiter was very understanding, telling me that only some people had the stomach necessary for raw food, and obviously I was not one of them. I didn't eat anything for the rest of the day, and although it may just be me, the sushi here was subpar.

A wonderful idea, this is a place where you can order a martini while getting a manicure or pedicure. They are open at night. It is a great place to go with the girls for a night out, or for a precursor to other bars and clubs. Pricing is reasonable, appointments are suggested but not necessary.

The Bigfoot Lodge is a good place to come and hear drunk quasi-hipster girls sing along to Sweet Caroline. I go for the fantastic decor, which is reminiscent of the Log Ride at Knott's Berry Farm. But, with more beer. The drinks are reasonably priced and it's within stumbling distance of The Roost.

Once upon a time, this velvet-wallpapered lounge was a daredevil kind of bar...when Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" played on the jukebox, the bartender ignited a stream of lighter fluid along the bar. This tradition is long gone, but the ambiance of the bar remains as one of the coolest, hole-in-the-wall spots in Hollywood.

It may look like a dump from the outside, but the inside of the place is really nice it has nice lounge area and a bar area. It is always packed, drinks are on the average, fair prices on every drink. It is a nice place to meet new people or to meet with friends. Jukebox is available, and like all bars in California it closes at 2pm.

This place has quickly become my favorite Dive bar. I rarely go, but thats from scheduling conflicts not preference. I love this place! They have great music, drinks are in expensive and potent. Overall, if you love dive bars this is where to be.

I went to this place for happy hour with a group of co-workers. We get there and they seat us only to ask us to move two times without any proper explanation. The hostess was nice enough to offer us free jolly rancher shots for our trouble but that was not enough to erase the bad experience we had at this place.
Our waitress was horrible, she came by to take our order and then disappear. Many of us went straight to the bar to get our drinks. When the food came, it was cold and not ordered they way we wanted. They did not allow us to run different tabs. The overall experience did not make for a happy hour. So needless to say, this place will not getting our alocohol business anymore.

This bar boasts a fantastically "kitschy" chinese-influenced decor, a la 1974. Red velvet wallpaper, lanterns, and dark wood accents give the Good Luck Bar its simultaneously quirky and mysterious ambiance. The crowds really start packing in the later it gets on weekend evenings, so come early if you'd like a booth. I recommend any of the blended drinks; go ahead and get festive!

This was one of my fav hang outs when I lived in L.A. With tons of red vinyl, walls that look like lava rock and a definite tiki theme prevailing. It's like you've entered another little world. They have half price drink specials usually from 8:30 - 10pm. They have a tiny stage where lounge acts play. I saw Combustible Edison there once. The food is your typical lounge type fare, but the drinks are not bad at all. It's all about the ambience here.
