If you live in Los Angeles, you know you need to hit up The Dresden at least once. A great spot and a step back to another point in time!
Pros: Great vibe and old school ambiance.
Cons: None.

This place has quickly become my favorite Dive bar. I rarely go, but thats from scheduling conflicts not preference. I love this place! They have great music, drinks are in expensive and potent. Overall, if you love dive bars this is where to be.

First off, I have to disagree with the user below....I'm sorry but if you are not used to dress codes by now, you must not go out in LA very often, you cant blame the restaurant for trying to class-up k-town. Besides the fact, that this has nothing to do with the quality of this new bar/restaurant.
I went last night with my girls to check out this new spot and we had a great time! The tapas and the cocktails all seemed unique to Maitreya. I highly recommend the Maitreya lemondrop, which they've put their own little twist on, by adding champagne! And as far as the food, we tried the tapas platter, which gave us little samples of many of their dishes, all of which were interesting and delicious!! We will definitely be going back to try more of the menu and possibly even try the 3 course-dinner. Thanks Maitreya for bringing a new kind of cuisine and class to our neighborhood!!

I haven't been to a good Irish sports bar in a long time, and Maloneys brought back the memories. Like any good pub, it was loud and raucous, but the service was amazing, and I've been jonesing for some more of their chili nachos ever since.
This is quickly becoming one of the favorite happy hour 'hang out after work with co-workers' location since it's just down the street (reasonable walking distance) from where I work at Gayley/Wilshire.

It may look like a dump from the outside, but the inside of the place is really nice it has nice lounge area and a bar area. It is always packed, drinks are on the average, fair prices on every drink. It is a nice place to meet new people or to meet with friends. Jukebox is available, and like all bars in California it closes at 2pm.

Although often crowded, they mix a mean martini and serve delicious appetizers. Dinner is wonderful as well, but I'd make reservations. Their martini menu is quite extensive. I can't wait until my next happy hour there. It's an eclectic mix of people, nothing too intimidating.
Parking on the streets in limited, so I'd suggest using their valet service.

Check it out. It's the size of a two car garage, and the drinks are about $10 a pop and all they serve are tiki drinks (no beer or wine, don't even ask, you'll get laughed at), but you'll have so much fun. There's so much camaraderie at this bar. It's only open Wed.-Sat., and only 'til 1. But you can smoke there, 'cause its owner operated, just the father and son. The grandfather was the original Tiki bartender of Southern California. Oh, and no PDA's. Either one. But you'll get smashed off of about one and half drinks.

Good bar to stop by before or after a concert. The bartender mixes the drinks strong and will play any song you want in the jukebox for free. It's not too stuffy like certain bars and you feel welcomed once inside.
