I love taking visitors here, because it is such an unusual restaurant. They have great Hookah and the food is delicious. However the service can be really bad sometimes. In their defense though I think it is the managements fault for not scheduling enough servers because they are always running around, but when there is only one server and 20 tables its impossible to give good service. I recommend the lamb kabob.

Excellent place to visit during the weekends when you're in the mood to go out with friends or companion to have a fun tme. Food is delicious and overall a a place to kickback after a party or long weekday.

i can see from a business point of view why you would charge each person not just a two drink minimum, but also a cover charge to make enough money on each table, but it does get pricey pretty fast. nevertheless, my friends and i had a really great time. the place is super crowded, but we were seated pretty fast and had great service the whole night. the music was great, the place really dim, and it feels like one big happy love in. i'd definitely choose indoor seating (the vip room upstairs is ideal) over the outside space- too many passersby outside.

The food, service and environment is amazing. Try to get seated upstairs if you can its dimly lit and intimate. The food is great (the tomato soup is my favorite) and the hookah is great. Most people end up deciding between habibi's and gypsy since both hookah places are across from each other. Gypsy is the better choice if your hungry and want a decent meal. The per person minimum i believe is $5 higher but the food quality is completely worth it. Plus you won't have to check your bill and argue off the incorrect charges after wards.

More expensive and less busy than it's competition (Habibi, accross the street), the Gypsy Cafe offers a plethora of food and hookah options. The VIP room is a real treat for a large group. The outdoor seating is pleasant, expect for the fact they compete for walkway space with the line from Diddy Riese. Therefore, indoor seating is preferable.
