I studied abroad in Italy for 5 months, and this is the only place that tastes as good as the gelato does there. All of the flavors are authentic, and made the italian way. When I want gelato, I go here. Not to Pazzo Gelato in Silverlake, and not to that gelato place in beverly hills. It's creamy, tastes very rich, but is low in calories. I cannot say enough about Gelato Paradiso, the bacio is perfect and made correctly with dark chocolate and pieces of hazelnut, just like in Italy. The espresso is delicious made with good quality espresso - yes you can tell the difference, I think they make it with either illy or lavazza. They also put bits of espresso beans in there and it is perfectly balanced. The pistachio is also really good, but I must say its the closest to Italy but in Italy its much better. The hazelnut is good too. Just by smelling you can tell the quality is a lot better. Its all in the ingrediants, the better quality ingrediants the better the food - Tutti Gelati & Gelato Pazzo have noting on Gelato Paradiso. Their gelato tastes like plastic with no flavour compared to Gelato Paradiso. Pros: Quality flavour, authentic Cons: Traffic is heavy on the way to Gelato Paradiso

Oh, they also serve the gelato like it should be - not freezing cold. Americans serve ice cream like forzen bricks. Gelato is an enjoyable, smooth and creamy luxury, rich in calories. This place had a great assortment of flavors to choose from. I also think they were written about in the Los Angeles magazine, if I recall correctly. Staff was pretty nice and cute, too!

Some friends and I caught a movie recently at Grauman's Chinese Theater and noticed the new Gelato Paradiso store across the way. I had never tasted anything so amazing! The ice cream was smooth and creamy, with the most wonderful flavors. I had the pistaccio and wild cherry, which were both unbelievable. My friend Amanda wanted to go to the Cold Stone at Hollywood & Highland, but after our stop at Gelato Paradiso she said she could, "never eat that crap again!"

I'm pretty sure this is a local business, because they only have 3 stores and they're within decent driving distance of each other. Well, I went to the Hollywood shop and it was a bit small but the air conditioning was very welcome that day, seeing as how it was super hot. So yeah, my friends and I ordered some gelato, and it was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. THey had awesome flavors - I chose the tiramisu, and it was SO good! My friend's mom got half chocoloate, half coconut and she couldn't stop raving about how good it was. The prices are a bit stepp for the product, but in general it's afforadable and definitely worth it. Gelato is so great, and Gelato Paradiso really captures its "awesomeness".
