I try to buy all my children's gifts, and many of my adult gifts, from this line of shops along Yucca in Hollywood. The owner is a former fashion stylist who has the best, effortlessly hip taste you could ever covet. From the gorgeous (although pricey) kids' clothes to beautiful art books to unique, colorful women's clothes to jewelry, housewares, you name it--"etc." really does belong in this store's name. Over the last few years, the product assortment has kept growing, and in addition to the original kids' store and the offshoot adult boutique (which also has great books and toys for children), there is now an art gallery and a fabulous shoe store, all under the Los and Found banner. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about the ever-changing mix of products, and, best of all, the stuff you buy here you definitely won't see on everyone else (except maybe their very popular peace symbol t shirts, which are all over the East side.)

Tiny World is a warehouse of baby and kid items such as strollers, beds, sofas, strollers, safety gates, toys, cribs, etc. Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpf on which products would be right for you and your family. also, if you buy a car seat from them, they will properly install it in your car. While they tend to be slighlty more pricey than Babies r us, you can't compare the staff's knowledge.
It's better to buy the right product than to be stuck with one that doesn't work for you!

Searching for the right stroller or bed crib can be a daunting task as there are so many to choose from that you can soon feel like you're buying a new car. But, Sid & me has a knowledgeable staff there to help. Prices are always the cheapest, but sometimes, it's worth a few extra dollars to ask someone to show you how to open and close a stroller without feeling like an idiot. I think twice a year thye also have a storewide sale on everything. That's when prices get a little more reasonable.

I love this store and when I worked in West LA I used to go here all the time. This is a teriffic used clothing store for children. The mostly buy top brands. Many things are new with tags. You still have to look over things very carefully, they are not quite the stain and tear Nazi's that Children's orchard is. Their prices are quite reasonable. They also sell toys and gear. They buy stuff too, but now it's just for store credit, which isn't bad. Another great thing about Flab jacks is that their sizes go all the way up to 16, unlike Children's Orchard. The staff is friendly and the athmosphere is great.

I love going to the Puzzle Zoo for unique gifts for a child. They have such a wonderful selection of toys like dolls, cars, blocks, stuffed animals in addition to puzzles. Many are unique to this store that I have not seen sold anywhere else. My sister and I sometimes go here together to shop for our kid's Christmas presents.

Be sure to get on their mailing list to find out when they are holding their semi-annual parking lot sale where clothes are marked down 50%.
