The best kept secret in the industry is that you can rent your wedding dress! In Europe, girls hardly ever buy their dress they rent it. One Night Affair is the only location I have found in LA that does this but it is a great idea. At first I was nervous about it working out, being that you don't get it until a few days before the wedding but I picked it up, tried it on, and everything was great. Little did I know the hassle in trying to get a tux the day of an event! I Googled "los angeles tuxedo rental same-day." I was greeted with great reviews of Mr Tuxedo and decided to make the drive. They handled me with kid gloves and walked me through every option (vest, no vest, bow tie, tie, which shoes) with the patience of saints.
If I or anyone I know ever has to rent (or purchase!) a tux or suit, the only words out of my mouth with be Mr. Tuxedo.
Pros: free parking, patience, might be psychic

This place is under new managment and you can tell! I have been dropping in from time to time for years and the past few months have been amazing, great customer service, sweet ladies that are honest and funny too! Thewhole store was laughing together about some celeb joke, it was a great time. The store also has quite a bit of selection, nice prices, loved the jewelry!

Everyone is extremely helpful, which you don't find at most boutiques on Robertson, unless it feels like they are throwing themselves at you. I am able to find an entire outfit, down to the shoes here without having to go to big department store. To the woman who said that Diavolina looks cheap but at Jimmy Choo prices I say some people don't get fashion just the price tag or name droppers and because this store is so eclectic its probably just out of her grasp. You must go here, I tell everyone.
Pros: great service, great variety, best shoes in town
Cons: parking but this is la, that would be a con on everything

The guy who answered the phone was super nice (I am assuming it was NOT the manager based on the other reviews) and tried helping me find a solution to my costume problem (my toddler HAD to be ____, no one carries it, etc.).
I would totally return to this place.
Pros: Excellent phone service

I found Crossroads Trading on Melrose by accident as I was strolling down the street one day . To my surprise, they have a lot of really good designer labels for dirt cheap. Although many items are smelly, they are mostly in great condition. On my second visit I found an authentic Louis Vuitton luggage for $90. Although it had a coule of rivets fallen off, I was able to turn it around and sold it for $595, not bad for not even a day's work. I then went back the following day and bought a whole new wardrobe PLUS eat at BluJam Cafe next door and still have $500 left in my pocket. I was extremely happy!!!!
Pros: Great Finds at Such Dirt Cheap Prices. Search Hard and You May Just Find Gold!
Cons: Parking and They Sell a Lot of Louis Vuitton Knockoffs Too

I'm not from a city where OFF BROADWAY SHOE WAREHOUSE is close by. When I first stepped into the store, I was not only overwhelmed by their shoe selection but also by their amazing prices. This store doesn't require "shoe sales' to purchase affordable shoes. You can not only buy one pair of shoes in this store. I cannot wait to visit LAX again to shop in this store. Next time bring a bigger suitcase. :)
Pros: Huge warehouse, lots of space to move around and shop. No crowds.
Cons: Limited store locations.
