The Scene
This 99-year-old restored Cape Cod-style farmhouse attracts folks from all over the world. It has the homey feel that suggests a gentler era and slower pace of life. Guests pass the hours sitting on the lawn gazing at the white sand beach across the street or (on rainy days) playing board games in the parlor. The inn rents kayaks for exploring the local waterways. Biking area trails is another popular pastime.
The Details
Each of the five rooms is individually decorated based on its own theme. Three have private baths. Beds run the range from full to king. The most popular room is the Harbor Suite; it has an oak and marble Italian bedroom set, fireplace and sitting area with views of the Harbor and sunset; as well, it boasts French doors that open onto a private deck. The owners added a 60-foot, wraparound beach view deck in 2004.
