This store is kind of a run of the mill kids consignment shop- some good things, some ok. Sadly, it is a *very* difficult and stressful place to shop because of the crying babies and abusive employees. The owner has a one year old daughter and the first time I was in there one of the employee's daughters was also in the store. The owner regularly ignores the cries of her daughter when she wants to be held, and shames her for asking. The other employee actually picked up her baby and hit her (spanked, she would likely defend) because the little girl was trying to climb out of the playpen in order to be with her mother! I am completely in agreement with the idea of having babies at work with mothers- but I am absolutely opposed to seeing the babies ignored, hit and shamed. The store has some baby slings- it wouldn't be too hard to sling the babies while working (yes, I have done it a lot myself- up to age 4.) The store takes 10 items without an appointment and they pay a small amount in cash. If you chose to consign they would take 10 items, give the seller 40% of the selling price *in store credit only*! Bizarre. I have sold items there a few times but very likely will not be returning because of the sad treatment of the children there.
