It's expensive, but it was it worth it...Being something of a food snob I have to admit I had high expectations. Well, they were all met and/or exceeded all expectations.

Not only do I work in the neighborhood but i am also friends with the owner. my wife had read the great reviews of the restaurant and wanted to try it. We were extremely pleased with everything. The skirt steak was delicious, flawlessly done, the potatoes were "real", My wife?s drink was really good (not watered down) and the price was reasonable. the restaurant was quiet and romantic. We really had a pleasant time out.

When you go to a "bistro" you expect there to be a level of quality in the service that matches the menu and prices. It certainly should not be a bad experiece. Upon entering which was around 5pm, it was as if we has interruped a joke session by the waiters and kitchen staff that never ended. They were not welcoming and seemed bored when taking our order. There was no level of professionalism or customer service. My group witnessed the staff eating, including our waiter, who came from the kitchen with a mouthful and proceded to clean his back teeth with his fingers and then serve us. It made our experience and the money were were putting down hardly worth it.

if you are visiting this restaurant duirng lunch, forget it. in my last two visits, the service was so bad that it took almost an hour before we were actuallly served. the wait staff appeared to be dazed and never communicated to us that there were any delays. actually, we had to get their attention on several occassions. we just could not understand it. if there was a delay, why couldn't the sfaff communicate that to us? what could possibly take so long? none the dishses we ordered were difficult nor time consuming - a wrap, tostones, salmon, skirt steak. it is beyone belief that something so simple should not taek so long. i can't say that i would not go back. the food is good, but service is lacking during lunch. in the end, we had to take our food to go because we had waited too long and our luch hour was well past.
Pros: food
Cons: service

I went here to volunteer to help at the leukemia/cancer fundraiser with DJ David Blain a couple of weeks ago. I had intended to stay for two hours, but I stayed for about six because I was having so much fun. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, first of all. The bartender, Rene, makes a really lovely tamarindo margarita. The space is long and a little narrow in the middle, but there's a dancefloor in the back, and I even think they open up the backyard in the warmer months. The menu contains a lot of food that reminded me of my days in Mexico, and it was really delicious.... coconut shrimp was delicious and the avocado and tortilla soup had a really blended, smooth taste. The pitchers of sangria were really great to share among my friends, and by the time we were ready to leave, I didn't actually want to go!
Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Style and Feel of the Whole Place
Cons: Location (a tad far from the subway), maybe not good for a very large group

I should have written this before! Took my boyfriend here for his birthday in October and we really enjoyed it. The food was so delicious that my boyfriend - who is from Ecuador - compared it to his mother's cooking and wants to bring her there for Mother's Day. The menu is varied enough that there's something for everything, yet the selection is anything but ordinary. I had seared tuna that was done just right. The service and the atmosphere are both friendly and inviting. Definitely a nice place for a night out with friends, family or a quiet dinner for two.
Pros: great service, good food and very reasonable prices
Cons: a little hard to find - take a taxi to be safe

It is such a cool find. I saw it in Time Out last week and came with my friends. They had an art show and auction going on when we went, so we had dinner and then stayed for a few drinks and listened to Gruv Gallery after that. The menu had a pretty great selection--I ordered the tuna and it was so delicious! The service was great from the waitstaff, to the bartender to the dj's. Even the owner checked in to see if we were having a nice time. I would recomend this place for dinner or to chill out at for drinks. Viva La Vuelta
Pros: food, atmosphere, price
Cons: It is tricky to find the place

My coworker had been telling me she read about it in the NY post, so we checked it out last week and it was great! The food was really yummy and affordable (love quesadilas and argentina steak), and the music the djs were playing was AWESOME, definetely best salsa i have heard in a long time! They have this nice backyard with cool artwork throughout the restaurant and in the back, and you can dance if you want to!
Pros: Music/Djs, Food, Price

I went for lunch the tuna salad was great and the service was prompt. After my lunch experience I decided to return for dinner on a Friday night and discovered a diamond in the ruff! The atmosphere was great; they actually had a D.J. that played some great music. This really complimented the food and my dining experience. Dinner, dancing and a great atmosphere you can't get any better. I recommend Friday nights.

Latin or not if you want to add a lil' "Spice to your Rice" La Vuelta is a great place to go out for some good food & drinks. I have been to La Vuelta many times on my lunch hour. A couple of weekends ago, I had made a suggestion to a group of friends that I knew of a great place to grab something to eat & have a couple of drinks - THEY LOVED IT. We usually make "Friday Night an Early Night" but we were in no rush to leave. The service was good, the music was right and the food & drinks were awesome.
Pros: Inexpensive, Good Food
