This restaurant gives a cozy and an "at home" experience of Peru. The staff are very friendly, not to mention a wide variety of choices on the menu. If you're looking for an exotic peruvian cuisine this is the place to go. I give them an overall five star. best peruvian dining experience ever.

This place was fantastic. The music, people, and drinks were more than I could have expected. The music is mostly hip-hop & latin, and perfect for anyone that likes dance. They have good DJ's on the weekends, and this place is packed. It's a great scene with alot of good looking people. If you're looking for a bar in Queens, I would definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Great Scene, Comfortable, Dancing

The place is great to go eat after you watch a movie at the theater that's right across the street. The food is excellent, the service is great, the decoration and environment is pretty cool. I would reccomend you try the buffalo wings, the stuffed chicken with veggies and cheese, and the burgers which are made of real meat. The plates might not be too inexpensive but they are at a moderate price.
Pros: food, atmosphere, service
Cons: none

Simply a great place.....laid back vibe with broad selection of loose-leaf teas, great coffee and top quality food. Met some friends there so we hung out for a while sampling alot of things (curry chicken salad sandwich-mmm; Communitea salad; portobello mushroom & cheddar panini, homemade brownies - yeah!). Music was awesome. Has huge front windows so can watch the world go by and free wifi, newspapers, games, magazines.
Pros: Selection, Price, Atmosphere

I've been living in the neighborhood for years, but only recently made my way to Sage--it's on a stretch of Jackson Ave where most people have no reason to be, between Citibank and Queens Plaza. But I have to say it's worth going a few blocks out of your way...this little shop does simple, interesting American food, really well. The sandwiches are awesome (I especially love the Grilled Chicken Breast, with blue cheese and roasted red peppers and watercress...yum), the soups are hearty and delicious, and the baked goods...I'll go WAY out of my way for one of their German Chocolate Brownies. Although with the opening of the Sculpture Center and MOMA nearby, and PS1 just a few blocks down Jackson (with a mini-Sage of its own for the cafe), maybe this isn't so out of the way after all.
Pros: fresh, unique, they deliver
Cons: just three stools

Yesterday, I took my girlfriend to blend. She had been craving Latin American food but didn't want to go to your typical hole in the wall. I looked up Latin American restaurants in NY online and found this place. It certainly didn't look like a greasy joint, so I decided to try it.
Well, my girlfriend loved it. It is a classy place with delicious food. The art on the wall definitely adds to the experience. The empanadas were delicious. Their rice and black beans are to die for. I had the churrasco (grilled skirt steak) and she had the bistec encebollado (steak with grilled onions. Both were great.
I highly recommend Blend.
Pros: food and prices

Food was good, not great. But its diner food, I don't expect it to be great. Prices were inexpensive for being so close to PS1. Service was fine. If you are looking for an easy meal in the neighborhood, this place is near the train and has a large selection of food.
Pros: Convenient, Large assortment of diner food
Cons: none
