The Southern California Summer Pro League is a staple of summer basketball for the last 30+ years. Each year rookies from 5+ NBA teams and various free agents, tryouts etc. take their shot at the NBA.
The action is enjoyable and the desires of some of these players, who are not guaranteed NBA-money until their big break, is palpable. The star sighting is also entertaining.
The league operates in early July and tickets are $12 for a da (5 games), so plan on spending some time there.

Whats cool about this Japanese Garden is that is located appropriately enough for students at Cal State Long Beach. Actually, it is addressed the same as Long Beach State. The garden isn't a huge garden, but it's got many plants, trees, and shrubs that give the garden its healthy green natural wonderful look. In the middle of the garden is a huge pond with a bridge you can walk over. Whats best is the koi in the pond, with hundreds of them at different sizes and different rainbow colors. Whats cool is that you can feed the fish with the food provided at the garden. You pay a quarter for the food bits, then you can walk up the pond and put your hand in the water. All the koi will literally swim at you the instant you hand touches the water. Don't worry, they don't bite, they don't have teeth! The garden also has a nice ground path so you can walk around and tour the garden in circles. I love going here to relax or just to have fun feeding the fish.

They had very good service, with good food. There was a buffet that was open 24 hours. They also had pizza and ice cream that was also open 24 hours. It is a great way to spend time with your entire family. The price range is very cheap, for such a good cruise. My personal favorite was when the maids clean your room, and on the last night they folded 2 towels into a elephant shape. My kids really enjoyed that. You might even spot a whale or dolpin just like I did on my first cruise ever. I would recommend this cruise line to many families.

This hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed in. It has an awesome view of the area. The beds are very comfortable with thick comforter provided and plenty of pillows. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we did not run into any trouble during our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

Yummy cigar shop! Located in downtown Long Beach near a lot of other shopping places as well as restaurants. You may want to stop by after a great meal to top off your evening with a tasty cigar from Smoke City. This is where I smoked my very first cigar. They have all types and flavors of cigars. I don't have a favorite because there are so many great kinds here. Nice to hang out and enjoy and people watch.

My friends and I really had a great time renting a waverunner from Offshore Water Sports. They provided all the necessary gear we need to drive the waverunner like life vests, gas, and even instructions. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They guy that taught us how to use the waverunner was really cool and patient.

Quite possibly the best little nightclub in all of California. Offer the latest and hippest dance grooves. Caters to all types of individuals i.e. students, corporate individuals, partygoers. Offers all kinds of drinks. Very friendly bartenders and bouncers allow everyone to have a good time. Nice atmosphere. Experience DJs and dance crew every weekened for entertainment. I am very allergic to pesticides and have been putting up with several armies of ants and snails for years. I finally called Hydrex because they specialize in people just like me, who have asthma and allergies and have to be very careful. I was quite impressed. They are a harsh chemical free company. I didn't even notice the treatment. My ant problem continued because it was so bad and they came out two more times without an additional charge. I now routinely use them every two months and the bill is cheap. Highly recommend!
