Yankee Doodles is one of my boyfriend's favorite pool halls that he likes to go to frequently. I like it as well because they also have arcade games in addition to the pool tables so I can play some arcade games there while my boyfriend plays some pool. There are a lot of people that go there too, even kids.

The War House is an excellent gaming store. They carry a wide selection of games and supplies for miniature wargames such as Warmachine and Games Workshop Warhammer Series. There is also a large selection of material for Dungeons and Dragons as well as other Role Playing style games. Collectible Card game players are not left out either. One disappointing feature is the small size of the store. The sales area is so full of things to look at and buy that there is little room to walk around. Another detracting factor is the staff. While they are courteous and helpful, it is sometimes a problem alerting them that you are ready to check out. There is a gaming area but it only has a single table and that is usually piled with merchandise that has not been placed on the sales floor.

I love this sportmart because of the large selection of sporting goods. There is a large variety of exercise equipment. Sportmart also carries great shoes and great sport apparel. There is also a great variety of sports equipment. Prices are very reasonable and employees are helpful.

Of course, they have the latest models and versions of cameras available and they also carry a large selection of different types and speeds of film. They have a complete selection of materials to supply and/or set up your own darkroom. Sport Chalet is obviously a sporting goods store that sells a variety of different sporting gear. They also sell different exercise mechanisms to help get yourself in shape. They supply customers with tennis, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and other supplies for playing the game (such as baseballs and baseball bats). They also hold fishing gear for those fishermen out there. At the back of the store they have shoes for all kinds of sports, such as basketball shoes and cleats, for both men and women. You can also find sport clothing, such as exercise suits and baseball and basketball jerseys. You can also get team affiliated gear, such as Dodger caps and what not. The customer service is excellent, especially at the shoe department. You tell them what shoe you want, and they will get it for you right away. Check out is quick and effiecient too. There's rarely any lines, and if there is, they usually have another employee to open up another line so people can get by faster. Parking could be an issue on weekends, because the whole Long Beach Towne Center gets flooded on weekends, and they share their parking with the Towne Center. There's never any hassles parking on weekdays. If you need any sporting related item, this is the place to go.

Sport Chalet is one of my favorite sporting goods stores. They carry awesome shoes for any athlete. I also like the selection of exercise equipment. There is so many great sporting good items at great deals. You will also find apparel for men woman and children at good prices.

Yummy cigar shop! Located in downtown Long Beach near a lot of other shopping places as well as restaurants. You may want to stop by after a great meal to top off your evening with a tasty cigar from Smoke City. This is where I smoked my very first cigar. They have all types and flavors of cigars. I don't have a favorite because there are so many great kinds here. Nice to hang out and enjoy and people watch.

Love your video games? Well, you can play them at this awesome arcade located in the Long Beach Towne Center, conveniently across from the Edwards Cinema so you can play games before or after you watch a movie. When I used to go to this arcade, they had this cool laser tag activity you could play. It was something like $5 to play. Whats cool about this arcade is that you don't have to keep putting quarters into the machine. You put all you money on a card they provide you, and all your credits are on that card. You put the card into the machine and it'll deduct your credits for each game you play. The arcade also has ticket games which you can redeem for cool prizes. They also have DDR in the arcade, as well as other cool fighting and racing games. The arcade is usually lively and filled with fun. They frequently add new games when they are released. What sucks is that most games cost double than where you play them elsewhere. For example, a game costing a quarter will go for 50 cents. However, putting that aside, this is a great way for kids to have fun on weekends or their vacation.

Planet Books is the classic used bookstore full of dusty old books and paperbacks. Planet specializes in science fiction, as the name suggests. They carry regular fiction and non-fiction of all varieties, too, and they have a modest selection of comics and periodicals. It's a fun place to rummage for an hour or so and maybe come up with something unusual. Science fiction fans should definitely check it out as they should find something to their taste, other readers may find it worth a visit as well.

Once Read Books is a store that you will want to come back to again and again. They have a small store nestled in busy retail area near the local community college. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable and the choice of books is impressive. They specialize in books but they also have a nice selection of sports collectibles. The prices are reasonable and they have a great trade in policy so you can replace books you no longer want with books that you do want.
