Morry's has been around for ages and was our place to shop for great wines and gift baskets. With the addition of the Back Room this place reminds us of the little, out of the way places that are usually popular in and around Santa Barbara. The Back Room has cushy seating with dim lighting. Very romantic. A perfect place to try a few different wines and nibble on some fruit and cheese.

I love coming to Luna. Whenever I have to get a gift for someone who is "impossible to buy for," this place helps me out every time.
My mother loves getting earrings from them for her birthday. They have a HUGE selection. I usually get three pair of some big dangly things. They wrap them in three little boxes and, get this, each one is in a different paper and ribbon? I mean FREE GIFT WRAPPING! I love this place.
Pros: Everybody loves what I give them from Luna
Cons: They aren't in Pasadena.

You would never think it was a teacher supply store considering the TOYS sign up top. I thought that to be clever advertising. This store has a variety of teacher supplies including workbooks for all grades. Excellent resource store.

I've been going to Babcock & Cooke for more than 20 years now, and it never disappoints. Absolutely beautiful stuff -- including seasonal holiday items. And their once- yearly 1/2 price off sale is a must. There's no where else in town that features the kind of things they do -- from unique gift wrapping to fragrant bath items to baby stuff, old-fashioned toys, stationery, jewelry, and much more. They also do beautiful complimentary gift wrap.

Blue Windows is a high-end gift shop with a nice selection of unique items for adults as well as children. They also have a choice selection of women' clothing. Beautiful pottery, candles, jewelry, toys, books, etc. It'd hard not to find something you don't want to leave the store with out.

I'm a painter and live nearby and rarely have to go anywhere else for the goods I need. The staff are very knowledgeable about their products and it's easy to get the assistance you need. There's probably more staff at this tiny art store than most of the bigger ones I've been to. I rate it excellent in every way, including the first rate framing services.
Pros: knowledgeable and helpful staff, great quality products
