My friends and I went on a Thursday night to check out the food and the live performance of The Thugs - we were thoroughly impressed. The music was awesome, the atmosphere was casual, the drinks were STIFF, the food was great (got the sliders + fries - thumbs up!), and the prices were right.
The crowd was varied, from early 20s to a few old timers. All of them seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Also, take some of the earlier negative reviews with a grain of salt. The Gaslamp is under new ownership/management as of November, 2009, which may explain why my friends and I didn't observe any of the negative experiences as described by earlier reviews. We honestly had a great time from start to finish.
Give this place a try if you are looking for a night of great food/drinks, great service, great value, and great live music with your friends. You won’t be disappointed.

We always enjoy our Tommy's Experience. We order chili cheese fries, a tamale and the foot long hot dog. we used the drive-through Window. The menu board was easy reading and it was well lite. It has been awhile since we enjoyed Tommy's and found that you have started to sell the chili in a cup. When my out of state relatives come into town they always make sure to stop at Tommy's, now they can take a little Tommy's home with them.

I like dinner, my husband likes Breakfast. At Hoff's, we are both happy any time of the day! They have great food, from breakfast, turkey burgers, salads, philly sandwiches, dinner meals, you name it. The pies look great but we are always too full from our meals to have some! Also, you can sign up for your birthday and anniversary, and they mail you a buy one get one free coupon for the month of your birthday or anniversary. That is a nice treat that many restaurants are doing away with.

I have been eating here for over 5 years. We are in Orange County and don't mind driving. The food here is excellent. Always fresh and always very flavorful. Not expensive at all and the portions are huge. They have the best chili outside of my own kitchen. Chef salad, chili cheese fries with pastrami, and pastrami burritos are my families favorites.
PROS: Great food...great prices
CONS: gets crowded around lunch time so beware if time is an issue

The best burger I've ever had is at Islands. Their guacamole burgers are amazing. The chocolate shakes are divine and the service fast and efficient. Good prices. Great place for families. TVs around the restaurant playing cool music and sports events.

The burgers and chilli cheese fries here put all other burger stands to SHAME! They are dripping in goodness, and the portions are quite large, but I appreciate the satisfaction I get after washing it all down with a thick milk shake. The service here is pretty fast, and it's a nice place to just sit, chow and relax.
