Galyan's has to be one of the biggest sporting goods stores I have ever been to. They have so many things in stock that I can't imagine not finding what I want. They have racks and racks of clothes, sports and exercise equipment, camping equipment, etc. This is quite a different experience from other sporting goods stores!

I went into this place with the recommendation of a friend, and they were very kind and helpful. I was trying to determine how much it was going to cost to make a bike from different parts, and they were more than happy to help. The prices were fairly high for parts, but when I was browsing around, the complete bike's seemed to be reasonably priced.
I'll definitely be back if I ever need help with anything.
Pros: Great customer service, kind staff, good selection
Cons: A bit pricey, but not too bad

This hobby is big and has a good selection of all types of stuff from fabrics, picture frames, paints, art supplies, furniture. I bought some fabric for a project and it was pretty cheap and good looking. I also bought some frames for a poster, they were on sale. Some of the items are expensive, some hobbies are expensive. I got colored chalk like a quarter or something. Not bad.

They have a good selection for start up hobby enthusiest. They have a good display for model trains, cars and airplanes. They also have a variety of model paint if you want to paint your cars. Parking is not a problem and pricing is good. Lombard hobbies don't have a great selection of remote control vehicles but if you are looking for a gift of put it together models, check out this store
