Al’s is a big outdoors sports store with everything from bicycling to ping pong supplies. Their staff tends to be very knowledgeable in their departments and very eager to help you. They have nice, high quality equipment. Their clothing and shoes are expensive (although pretty typical for North Face, Columbia, Saucony, etc.). However, they usually have shoes on clearance and occasionally they will have late night sales when you can get some good deals. Al’s is kind of like a local REI.

My husband and I have bought all of our bikes from this store.They have great quality and knowledgeable staff. They also have a board with all of the upcoming races; you can pre-register for almost any race. The staff is also great at customizing a bike for your needs; they can help you to know what's best. If you're in the market for a bike; I'd get it here.

When I went into the Sportsman I got a ton of help and attention. The person that worked there spent a lot of time educating me on different types of coats - no other store in town has offered to help when I've been looking for coats. They have really cool brands that aren't anywhere else in town (like Isis). They also rent skis and snowshoes. The prices on some of the same exact items were a bit higher than what you can find at Garts, but they are not unreasonable. It's fun to shop at this store.

THats right free books and cd's and dvds. But there is one catch you have to give them back after a couple weeks. The selection is is pretty good. Every time I leave that place I find out that I am interested in more things then I thought. They even have a good reservations desk so you can make sure you get the items you want without the hassle of trying to be there when it gets turned in.

The Fun Park only sort of lives up to its name. It’s nice that they combine skating and bowling and video games in the same building, but it’s a place that would appeal to kids more than adults. They have glow in the dark bowling if you’re lucky enough to go during their designated times, but after the novelty wears off, the glowing neon can kind of make you sick while you’re playing. When the lights are on, the bowling room is not very aesthetically pleasing. They also have laser tag and a party room – this place would be great for a kid’s birthday party. The Eccles Ice Center is a lot of fun. It’s in a nice, new, large building. The rink is Olympic-sized and they even had Olympians practice there during the winter Olympics. It has never been extremely busy when I have gone, and it is nice to have a lot of space when you skate. It is managed well and the ice is nicely manicured. The rental skates are in really good condition. The Eccles Ice Center is brightly lit and it has a pleasant atmosphere. This is a different, inexpensive (under $5) activity for a family to enjoy.

This is a swimming apparel store in downtown Logan. They have a great selection of swimming suits, etc. They sell really great brands-I really like their selection of Speedo suits. The staff is knowledgeable about types of suits and what works best. They're open all year; which is wonderful in the winter months when you can't find a swimsuit anywhere.

The employees are all very helpful and they don't just know their equipment but it is obvious that they use it as well and are passionate about what they are selling. The prices are fair and they sell reliable bikes. I bought a mountain bike here and I have been very pleased with it since. I would definitely recommend this business.

Norda's is a small store that has coats, boots, and ski and snowboarding equipment. All of the people that worked there were really nice and not too pushy - they'd help if you needed it, but they'd leave you alone to let you look too. They have really big sales right now because they are closing. They had a lot of clearance coats (including Spyder) that had discounts of 30 to I think 60% off. There's not a huge selection left and some of the coats look a little strange, but you might be able to find a great deal right now.
